Last fall I started to have a problem where light on line 2 on the 240 side would flicker and eventually the other legs would flicker and generator would stop making power.  Replaced voltage regulator and all was good for last 6 months. On trip over the weekend line 2 again began to flicker. I also noticed volts on the meter were no longer at 120 but 110.. I shut generator down. Several minutes later restarted all was fine again..   Seems to happen after genny has been running awhile.. Any ideas? This happened several times over the weekend..

How about a little fun?
What was the worse night you ever had while you were in your coach?
A couple come to mind but the absolute worse was when a campground had cut the grass and put down ant poison right after.  When I pulled the sheets back the bed was literally covered with red ants!  The poison had driven them up into the coach after the mower destroyed the ant hills.  Had to make a midnight run to WallyWorld to find bug spray and spray the whole coach.  Then sweep up the ants.
Got NO sleep that night!  I felt like ants were crawling on me all night.  And for the next few nights too.

Not sure who to contact on this one but if interested try posting in the comments section of the video to locate the selling party.

Seems to be in pretty good condition.

Thanks to @"JohnGalt" for locating this one.

Forum: Please introduce yourself

Hello All,

I recently became an owner of a new to me Newell (#1237). I have owned several Class A motorhomes from my most recent 2008 Country Coach Affinity to 2005 Essex, 2007 Allegro Bus and my 2006 Phaeton. In addition to my introduction, I would like to take this opportunity to publicly express my sincere thanks to Michael Day. It has been through my numerous questions and inquires about Newells over the last three months or so leading to my final decision to purchase my Newell. Michael has been an enormous source of help as I have asked him questions and pondered over various Newells I have seen for sale. Thank you, once again, Michael, I'm very fortunate that our paths coincide and I got to know you as a friend.

I also would like to thank Bill Johnson, for his advice and words of wisdom via private messages we have exchanged.

I live in west central part of Michigan. To all Newell Gurus, if your travel plans ever get you to this part of the country, I would love to connect with you and know you. I have a long driveway within a mile off 131 Freeway and can also provide you with 50 amp service for your coach to spend a few hours or a few nights to break your trip. It would be a pleasure to meet you and hear about your experiences in driving a Newell.

I'm finding out that my Newell is very different than any of my previous coaches. As I begin to learn more about it I would rely and draw on your experiences and expertise. To that end, I will post my questions on Gurus Site.

I am looking forward to interacting and hopefully meeting some you n person!

With best wishes to all!

Sayed Hashimi

My generator would require several attempts to start after sitting for a day or more. It would start and stutter, start and stutter, and finally catch. I changed all filters with no change in the behavior. Gordon helped me wire the pump so I could prime it from inside switches. That helped for a while, but the hard to start was getting worse with time. It changed from a nuisance to a situation where I could imagine it not starting at all.

It was pretty evident that it was not maintaining fuel pressure. I suspected that the pump was allowing the pressure to leak away when the generator sat for any length of time.

It took a call to Carter to confirm a new part number for the old pump, but here is the new Carter pump number .

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CIQ...ge_o01_s00  This is for the Kohler genset with Yanmar engine.

I am happy to say that after sitting for week, the genset started with the first touch of the switch.

I thought I had posted this one but after our new member @"Retired Navy Chief" made a post about it and @"JohnGalt" reminded me, I don't find evidence that I posted this one.  Thanks for the nudge.
