If it moves to the center, then go in from the opposite side and start removing the ceiling in the basement. That is the only way to access.

If it slides under the kitchen counters , only then is the access through the hatch in the cabinets.

Mine moves to the center of the coach.  I started to look in the opposing bay, but the flashlight was not working, so I gave up.

Karl, you will have to crawl in there and remove the ceiling tile to access the mechanism.
