My AC filters are in the entrance steps, yours are probably in the same place. I use the universal filter material, and I cut the new filters out with a pair of scissors. You can use the old ones as a template.
If you can, determine how long it has been since the AC units were last removed and cleaned with evaporator/condensor coil acid cleaner. I removed my units and cleaned them with coil cleaner and it really makes a difference in the level of cooling. You'll be glad you cleaned them when summer rolls around!
