Second, please do not retrofit the existing housings with LED bulbs or worse HID retrofit kits. As a guy who made his living in the fancy optics business, I cannot stand the GLARE clowns that do this.
If you can upgrade to LED assemblies, and Hella makes them, it may solve your problem without adding relays since LED lights are not terribly voltage dependent like Halogen.
Yeah, Richard makes a good point about the retrofits in the wrong housing!!! Not good for anyone...and they don't work either. (ask me how I found out...not on a Newell though)
