My connector was mounted just under the dash above my right knee when sitting in the driver seat. It’s a rectangular connector, called an ALDL connector.
Is it this one??
Yes, that is the ALDL connector. FYI you can access both the DDEC and the Allison form this connector. I know this because Andy from the Wanderlodge forum reprogrammed my Allison through my ALDL connector.
You will need the adapter cable for the Bluefire that I mentioned in my earlier post.

So I need these items correct??
The ALDL to 9 pin male connector

The 9 pin bluefire unit itself

and an ipad
Yes, that will get you going. I missed the correct setting on which communication protocall to use and mine would not connect at first until I changed it.
I also have a screen set up that I copied from one of the Wanderlodge members and modified to my own taste. Its not terribly intuitive in my opinion and you have to do quite a bit of tinkering to get things set like you like it. I still have not gotten the Allison data to populate on mine, but I have not messed with it again. One of the WOG guys told me that I needed to try to make the changes while the engine was running and to put the transmission in gear so that data is being transferred for it to be picked up by the Bluefire.
