If somebody is thinking about Jeff’s satellite dish- you CAN change it from dish to directv.
The reflector needs to be changed to a directv version (watch where you buy it from, as some sellers are claiming they have the new one, but send the old one. They’re only vaguely interchangeable). You want the one with 2 upper bolt holes and 2 slots in place of the 2 lower bolt holes.
There’s a 3 port (maybe 4, it’s been a while) switch/router/splitter that needs changing.
The inside unit programming needs changed. Winegard will send you a link to do it- N/C but time.
It’s a very doable swap. I have a true parts listing if anybody decides to go this route. I got all of this info directly from Winegard, so while I ultimately did not change mine, after buying the parts, I felt everything they told me was accurate.
