I 100% agree, always use blue fire.
But check engine and the other engine light is on. Those are reading from the digital output of the DDEC(same as blue fire will read)
DRea5000, you sound like you have enough knowledge to get started on this adventure.
Check those fluids yourself and spend the 250 bucks to get a blue fire.
You will need to find your communication port. It might be 6 pin or an ALDL plug(If I remember)*you need to know what com port you have to order proper adapter harness.
Check your belts and everything yourself. Let the learning begin! It’s the ALDL 6 pin. I have a prolink with the wrong cartridge lol I will get online and find the bluefire asap. yeah I definitely wish that I would’ve checked the levels myself, but I did check the oil and there’s no coolant inside the oil so I’m assuming it didn’t really get too hot, but I wasn’t able to get the actual readings from the computer to tell me how hot it had gotten then or in the past
