Removing the dash

What is the process for removing the dash please?

I saw Newell work on the same vintage and they were able to raise the dash up and set it on blocks.   I seem to remember that they had 6-8" of clearance under the dash.  I would look in the hand hole that is behind the trim on the dash to the left of the fuse bay.  The trim piece is attached with double sided tape.
