Wiring a vehicle is not difficult. Just takes a little preplanning as to where you can hide the wires and go through the front & maybe the rear firewall. I did no drilling. I used existing holes. Some put tow specific bulbs in the taillight assemblies. That is a good way to go if the taillights are big enough. The HHR's taillights are very small, so I had to use diodes. Still no problem. I've been towing the HHR for 6 years & haven't had a single light issue.
