44 HOUR Compressor Cycling Time

It's been 2 years since I started this thread and nothing has changed, no pneumatic leaks, no compressor cycling.  I use the Thomas compressor when we aren't living in it and the Jun-Air compressor when occupied.  I'm happy with the Jun-Air, it is very quiet.

Thats great Jim! I've got our Newell down to one cycle every day, been watching it using the Emporia app.

Uh Oh, I heard the compressor come on a couple of times yesterday, so when the pressure was at 120 psi I closed the isolation valve and turned the compressor off. This morning the house pressure was still at 120 and the chassis was 0.  Hopefully an easy fix.

How cold is it where you are Jim? The cold tends to cause some valves to go wonky (thats the technical term). I had one inversion valve on my wanderlodge that did not like to close when it was cold out.

It is the 3/8 air line into the rear 6 pack.  The 90 degree 1/4” NPT swivel fitting is leaking at the swivel.  It will be replaced with a street ell and a straight fitting.

Glad you found it. 

I have not had the time to dig deep into air leaks. I know I have a push to connect on the brake pedal valve that leaks occasionally. I have been able to get it to stop by moving the line around. Eventually need to get in there and replace the fitting.

Big Grin Yes or that other place!  After 3 days the house is still at 100 psi.  I replaced the swivel fitting today.  Lots of them in that right rear compartment waiting to leak at the most inopportune moment!

I didn’t think H E double-toothpicks was a bad word, but the Mods changed it. Took the ooompf out of my statement. But we all know the place!

When I consult with folks on air leaks, that rear compartment IS THE FIRST PLACE I send them!! There are more fittings in ther than any other place. And of course, it’s THE tightest of them all! ?

39° at the moment supposed to be 80° this afternoon.  I'm out of 1/4" NPT street ell's which calls for a visit to FleetPride.
