Hydraulic leak stuck at rv park
#11

Believe it or not there is a big difference between brands. Parker O ring face seals don't work with Eaton. You have to really crank on things to "make" it work. I once blew a hose at -20 and had to go to the nearest place to get a new one. It was an Eaton store, I ended up getting new fittings for the cylinder as well. Once you find a brand you like, stick with it forever. Parker is more common.

final fix turns out there is a blanking plug on the backside of the manifold block. That side is clamped to the support post with a cushion piece of rubber. the fluid was leaking out of the loose plug and weeping over to the boss fitting, making it look like the fitting was the leaker. The field Newell guys were helping me out on several issues and I think his nickname is goose, suggested to look on the back side of the block! Hurray.
