1/4" aluminum plate, I believe 3d printing would snap off.

I think Richard is on the right track with the RivNuts - the tubing is very thin…

Rivet nuts it is then.
I’m building my as “L” bracket as they have to fit behind the slide topper bracket then down the side. There is a 3-1/2” gap between the topper bracket and the thingy the actual material slides into. This should give me an inch and a half to mount and the same for the stop. I’ll post some pictures when completed

So, these are the custom plates I made for slide stops on my front slide. I have a slide topper on it but there was enough room between the topper mount and the top of the slide to fit in a custom bracket. I made them from 1/4" 6061 Aluminum I got on Amazon. I ended up mounting them with 1" #14 self-taping screws, I wanted to use rivet-nuts but the layout wouldn't work with all of the hardware so instead of a mis-mass of hardware I just went with the self-tappers. I also used 3M 5200 Adhesive Sealant to glue them to the side skin. The topper cover should completely hide the brackets once its reinstalled. Dimensions are 8" wide across the top and 6" down the side. each leg is 3" wide. Note in the photos that I had to drill access holes in the slide topper mount in order to install 2 of the top mounting screws.
