Hi,

I've been reading here for quite a while and registered an account so I could ask about this coach.  I tried to search, but I guess I need a class on how to search.  when I search #678 or just 678, I'm told that I don't have enough letters in my search.  So I haven't found anything.

I've spent about a year preparing for this, and I want to go at least semi full-time in the next year.  I've narrowed my search to a 2000-2005 Newell or a 2007-2010 Foretravel Nimbus or Phenix.

The thing that puzzles me about this coach is that there is no co-pilot chair?  I'm not sure why.  I'm also not sure if it could be added.  I know everything is built to order, just not sure why someone would order that?  Or maybe it got removed?  I suspect the photos are not showing everything but before I make a trip, i thought I'd ask some basic questions.  My hope is that someone knows this coach and can encourage/discourage me depending on the situation.  I've studied and learned a lot, but there is so much I do not know.

Any advice is appreciated!  Happy to give more info, just don't really know where to start!

I have not seen that coach but I used to own 653 and this looks very familiar to me. If you look behind where the passenger seat would be, you will see a large console. It looks like Newell made it, so I would highly doubt if someone randomly removed the passenger seat.

Also, the floor does not look like it has been patched.

I replaced both seats in 653, and if you remove the seat there is a metal support piece that the seat bolts to. Since the floor does not appear to have the seat support, it’s going to be expen$ive to replace the seat. It can be done and Newell does beautiful work. Of course, you would have to talk to them, but you are looking at replacing the console, pulling up a section of the tile floor, installing the support and then doing something to finish the floor. Like I said…it looks $$$ to me.
