need new compressor now
#1

The gremlins got me after installing all new fittings , hose and check valve the system holds air just fine but only when I start the engine. The Thomas compressor runs and sounds normal and all other systems seem fine or were replaced except the actual compressor itself....

So can I get a model number of a jun-air or gast that's quiet and fits in the bay under the copilot  PLEASE ? and a source please..THanks

If you use a Jun air you need to be sure and add a oil seperator as they use oil by design and will contaminate your system if there is not one there.

Mine is a 1/3 hp Gast from Grainger. I am at work in St Johns but can try to find Grainger # when I get back home. They should have a pic though on their website to help you in getting the right one.

the problem with the gast is space. my 90 i put a new gast in and it took the entire floor of the compartment in front of the drivers front wheel.

i would not have had space to put the larger footprint gast in my 02.

Mine sits on top of the "squirrel cage" blower in front compartment on curb side.

i have not seen one there. seems like that would be too tight on mine.

the best place i have seen is in the generator compartment. i wish mine was there.
