Hello to all. I have a 32 inch flat screen TV to install in our 86 coach . I want to mount it where the original was located in the overhead up front . Prefer a hinged arrangement, curious about how fellow Gurus may have mounted tvs in their older coaches .
Hope everyone is having a great time out on the road !
Thanks, Chris

Hello, new friends. The title of this posting warrants explanation. My late father was bitten by the RV bug while I was in college. His first cross country trip (Maryland to the West Coast) was completed in a 1988 Porsche cabriolet. Because he hated spending a hundred bucks or so a night at hotels during this month-long journey, he made the dubious business decision (especially for a Wharton grad) to purchase his first depreciating asset, a 1990 23 ft Class C Tiaoga. That worked well for a year and he then upgraded to a 27ft Class C. The first of several DPs soon followed, ending with a 2013 Newmar Ventana which he had until his demise in 2017. I made endless fun of him for his self-described “trailer trash lifestyle” and the resources constantly dumped into his toys....that is until I used the Ventana last year for a music festival and several road trips to see my daughter’s college soccer games and then, too, became smitten with the freedom and wonderment of motor coaching. We (his estate) ended up selling the Ventana last year for a song, a decision I now regret. While considering options to replace the Ventana, I came across this community and the wealth of information about the Newell brand (I know it’s not Newmar; Newell is a different class altogether) from the many knowledgeable members. As an active member of Audi forums for several years, I appreciate the selfless exchange of ideas, problem solving, and good cheer that flow throughout the various threads.
Because I have a rear garage that measures around 42’, I am searching for 40’ coach. This must the source of great amusement for my dear departed father who had a healthy appreciation for irony. I have identified two Newells for sale at this length: a 2003 and a 2005. By lurking around this site, I have learned a significant amount about the different engines (Detroit Diesel v. Cat C-13), steerable tag axel, transmissions, etc. I cannot thank you all enough for the content that is allowing me to make an informed decision. I look forward to getting to know many of you.
Grateful Kev(in) ⚡️?
Just got my technician’s license (past the test) yesterday and while I am awaiting my license to show up in the FCC database I would like to find a great antenna to put on our coach. Unfortunately we don’t have a nice ladder to mount the antenna to like a Wanderlodge (I miss Mauvelous some times)...
Any suggestions for antennas that would work on the roof (aluminum) or on the fiberglass rear cap? I was looking at some of the motorized rigs but not sure what really works. We want to do Emergency mobile comms for Red Cross disasters and storm chase. What radios do ya’ll recommend please?

Hi to all,
My Newell (#335) was acquired from a friend a few years back He was racing
cars, but when that ended he didn't use the coach any longer, so I bought it.
We did a few trips, loved it, but got busy in other areas so it sat... I just fired
her back up (new batteries needed of course) and am working to get her back
on the road.
I don't know much about her original history, first owner etc. so if you have pointers
to that kind of info, let me know. I look forward to being in the Newell Community !
peace,
Doug

Hi All,
The interior of our door has three plastic pull handles. One long vertical and two horizontal which have 9"+/- centers. I am a designer and used lots of Grohe fixtures in the 80's. I believe they also made these pull bars, I have looked on line and if they did make them, they no longer do.
Has anyone replaced the pull with something similar?
Thanks in advance.
Vonna

There are eight rollers for the generator to slide out, mounted to the carriage.
The roller is a McGill CF 1 1/2 S cam follower. The stud is 5/8 inch with fine threads. $30 to $40 online.
