New to the group, never owned a coach but one is needed to fulfill our quest to travel the country to see it before we can't. We prefer the mid entry E/W king bed configuration. Have researched and talked to Newell several times and have a grip on coaches selling thru RVT and the 2 main resellers in AZ and MI, both places have been very cordial. We get the feeling a sub culture group may have a finger on coaches for sale that are not being consigned. Any assistance would be appreciated. Rob

PS. Any suggestions on a coach to avoid is also welcome. We know of a couple already.

Anyone know where I might source the two long hangars for the muffler can?  I was going to try to find a place in Atlanta, GA next week to weld up mine or replace them.
I did figure out that the muffler can be held in place temporarily using the BIG, long plastic Zip Tie wraps (got a bunch from Harbor Freight) - I was surprised they did not melt or break and we drove several hours with them.

My passenger side compressor required a shut down today and in search of an air leak, I located a strong hissing in the blumbing bay.  When I turned compressor on and off again, it took 27 seconds for hissing to stop.  Did a soap test and nothing noted on what I could see to get at.  What is behind or near there that I might be able to access to chase this one down or what might I be up against, figuratively or literally?
Thanks much!

Looks like my bathroom vent has seen better days. The seal is brittle an hinges seem to be degrading. an by degrading i mean the plastic hinges/supports are starting to turn to powder as the plastic/poly/resin breaks down.

Before a hinge breaks and or seal starts leaking im gonna replace it. Also upon roof inspection the exterior seal/chaulking has seen better days. So its time.....

Very tough to read any numbers on the inside window. Newell service parts says its a 17.3125, Or something close to that. And was most likely they dont have a direct replacement. waiting on a return call with more info.

If i cant find a direct replacement i was thinking of making the opening slightly bigger to accommodate a new vent. instead of going down in size.(then having to fabricate a plate to make up the difference in smaller size. less things to seal)

Was thinking of getting a vent with a fan. What have you used as a replacement? best exterior chaulking/seal to use?

appreciate the responses.

i am going to build one of the wheeled carts to support the flat floor slides on my 02 hwh slide coach.  both my front and rear slides are flat floor which mean you cannot pull them in to change the slide seal.  they need to be on a cart to push them out.

i know slides are supposed to be put in and out in travel mode, but when i do my slide seal i will drop it all the way down so the coach doesnt have any change to droop with the slide out.

i would be interested in those of you that have flat floor hwh slides, what the overall length of the slide is and what is the height of the slide from the ground to the bottom of the slide when you are in travel mode.  and what the exterior depth of the slide is.  (from outside of slide to the coach.

thanks

tom

Thanks!  Need to get it dropped off so I can continue trip in TOAD.

Nope, not the coveted VMSPC.  This is the black box unit with a display that shows basic engine and transmission info.
I just ordered a VMSPC and am wanting to sell this one.  Works great but not a customizable display.  It comes with a round 9 pin connector but only has 4 wires connected so you could just change the plug or wire into the existing wires at the diagnostic plug.
If you're interested pm me and make an offer.
Thanks!
