scott has added a google search bar to every page. it allows you to use google search to look for things inside of newellgurus.  many of you have commented the search capability is not as robust as we would like, so this should help a great deal.

it does give some google ads as well, but hey, it was free.

thanks

tom

well, the closing issues with my main door are back. While at Newell 2 weeks ago i had them look at it but of course, worked fine. they replaced and adjusted the MAC valve..been communicating with Bode engineers but not many suggestions. This all started before the Alabama trip but after putting in an air/water filter I didn't have but a few issues.

not sure what my next step is. replacing the motor is an option but until i can isolate the problem, troubleshooting will continue..did find something out today and it is that when the door starts to close and stalls blowing air, I can push it a tad more open and it will close> sounds like a pressure seal but not sure..

it's cold as the devil here in Galveston and I'll wait till my warmer next stop..

If anyone has a suggestion or thought, short of trading it in on a 1968 winnebago.

Have a great weekend..

I replaced all 3 blower motors when we first got coach in 2010.  Had to replace one of them the other day. Original motors are no longer available. First replacement was with VDO pm3477 motors.  They are a bit larger in dia than originals & the motor mount bands need to be modified by "flattening" out arc to accomodate the new motor.  When I went to get replacement, both NAPA & Carquest could not find VDO pm3477 in their warehouses.  I had trouble finding then on e-bay as well.  4 Seasons 35490 motors are interchangeable with the VDO pm3477.  I ordered a 4 Seasons 35490 at Autozone store & got it in Monday.  It and the old VDO were both labeled Unimotor 14490 hecho en Canada.

This heater is not putting out! It is mounted inline in the air duct downstream from the A/C evaporator. This is the heat source for the coach. When I check voltage with it "off" it shows approx. 40 volts at the control box and across the terminals of the element. When I turn it on the voltage goes up to 117 volts. I am trying to determine if it is the element or a controller. The element is not getting hot so I am suspecting it. I am confused by it showing the 40 volts. Can anybody help me determine the real cause of No heat?

I have yet to turn on the aqua hot zones and this morning when I woke up the center zone pump was making a weird noise and was running. I verified none of the zones were on but it appears to have possibly burned up. Even with the aqua hot off it continued to pump.. I cut the wire to it and will investigate more this afternoon  in a bit

hi all,

i live in arizona in the hot desert.  we have not traveled in the newell so we have had to use the heaters.  we try to get away from the heat, not go to where it is cold.

but....we are remodeling our cabin in the mountains of northern az at 7000 feet.  so we took the coach up there to use while the place is gutted.  tonite it will be 17 degrees.  i am nice and cozy in here now.  it will be here for a few weeks, having brought it up here last week.  will be interesting to see how much diesel the aquahot uses.  i only have a 20a connection here.

btw, it was a 150 drive from our place to our cabin.  all uphill....got 5mpg.  ughh
