I ordered a VMSPC from Silverleaf today...but I am torn as to what to display it on or where to mount display.

I have a new Microsoft Surface Book that runs Windows 10 and has a couple of USB ports.  It is overkill for this, but can be setup like a laptop or like a tablet.

I know some others have Surface Pro tablets.  These are cheaper and lighter and could work.

Any thoughts about the ones you have used?

I also need to figure out a place to mount the display.  I know some have just tucked a tablet in front of dash gauges.  I am worried that I cannot see the display.  (I can barely see the gauges over the steering wheel).

I already have an iPad mini mounted to the right above the dash that runs the weather radar program I wrote.

So, does anyone have a setup that they really like?

Cheers,
bill

Motorhomes of Texas just listed a 2003 with 2 slides. Photos are not available yet so I will attach a couple of photos from about 10 years ago. This coach is EXACTLY 45'0" long. Valid slides, DD Series 60, Allison HD4060. 111,680 miles with only 1,119 hours on the Power Tech 20kw genset. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/new...-45--P1262

A special thanks to Chappell @qcj for identifying the coach number on this one.

Any suggestions for how to adjust the low mounted mirrors on a 2000 vintage coach? Specifically, I can't see the passenger side as well as the drivers side of the coach. My passenger side mirror is very close in, thus, I can't see to judge the passenger side tires like I can on the drivers side. The problem is that I am afraid to move the arm to try a new angle. Thus, looking for tips :-)
Thanks Mike

This seems like someone got a great deal if true. Below is the response from the factory.

Don,

All that I can tell you is that the coach does exist. It has had 5 or 6 owners but hasn’t been to Newell for any kind of service for the last 8 years at least. Our service records only go back that far in our current service software.

Thanks,

Does anyone know what this switch might be for? It's right above the radiator on the passenger side and next to a small locking door for the coolant reservoirs?

I am not sure if this is a drive train question or air system, but here goes. I have a 1983 Classic with williams air throttle and dana cruise control. The vacuum lines for the cruise keep popping off. At least I think it should be vacuum. It looks to me like the air line coming back from the throttle goes into a junction block that has 3 outputs. One to the transmission, one to the throttle valve and one to a solenoid that looks like it should create vacuum to run the cruise control. However I am getting positive air pressure out of this solenoid and its causing the vacuum lines to pop off. Does this mean the solenoid is bad? The vacuum lines are hooked up wrong? Can I just block the supply line to this solenoid knowing that the cruise control will not work?

Hello all!  I am officially listing our 1992 coach #284 for sale.  We have done extensive work on this unit over the 5 years we have owned it.  We have done various upgrades to both the interior and exterior of the coach.  We have also completed several mechanical upgrades to our coach in the years we have owned it.  The unit is stored and will be shown in Altamonte Springs, FL, which is approximately 30 minutes North of Orlando.  The unit has approximately 120,000 miles on the chassis and just under 10,000 miles on a new Detroit 8V92.  The radiator was also replaced with the engine.  Generator is the 12.5 KW Yanmar/Kohler and has just over 5,000 hours.  We also opted to do the front end upgrade to the newer 2000i front end complete with HID headlights.  The interior is extremely clean and current with gray formica and black accents throughout.  The coach has a very modern feel and appearance 2 flat screens TV's, carpet throughout and currently has bunk beds for children.  The coach can be purchased with the bunks or with the black ultra-leather sofa or both!  In motion satellite for entertainment on the go and his and hers closets in the master bedroom.  Tires are 4 years old and have been stored indoors so they are in great condition with low miles.  I will attach pictures but please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have.  Thank you for your interest.  Asking $55,000 or make an offer.  The engine, radiator, tires and interior upgrades alone are worth that on this 92 which drives and looks like a 2002!

There are at least five places in my coach where the panel switch words are back lit with a light strip.  Three of the place no longer light up.  The panel over the cook range has thee such strips and none of them light.  Is there a fuse or something that I can do to make them work?

We currently tow 4 down a VW Beetle and a Traverse (when we carry our Cricket).  We have thought about enclosed trailers.  A long time ago we had a dolly to Tow our BMW but that was always a pain when we got to a place to just stay the night and had to take car off, unhook and then put the dolly somewhere.

My question on trailers has been the laws.  We have a 40 footer now and will move up to a 45 footer.  Adding 28 or 30 feet surpasses some of the State laws.  Had a friend once bringing his race car on a stacker and Toy Hauler and was stopped due to length.  It was a few years back, has it changed now?
