Can anyone shed light on why my (VDO) RPM gauge may not be working?
My Pro Driver has not worked for over a year, but not needed so much.
Tommy at Newell said to check fuses under passenger dash and connections behind the gauge.
Thanks!

Hi just after some advise if possible,
I have a 2008 coach, i was opening the rear passenger slide out, it started to judder so i released the button. i then went to press it again and no life from the motor, the slide is about 2 inches from fully extended.
Im now stuck with the slide not operational. The rest of the process works fine when i press the button, the seal deflates, it then vacuums, the bong then sounds but no action from the motor.
i have checked the glass fuses in the slide control panel and all seem ok,
so my question is, are there any other fuses? where would they be? has anyone had this problem? is there a manual over ride to get the slide back in? where is the motor!!?
i live in the UK and the coach is currently parked in Hungary so any advise on how to get it back in would be very gratefully received!!
Thanks
Rob
Hello all,
Sunday, I extended the bedroom passenger-side slide on my coach #599; as it reached full extension and the flat floor was coming up into place, I thought I heard a clunk type of noise, but wasn't sure. So Monday morning we are ready to leave our campground and head home, I start retracting said slide and hear a hissing/spraying noise (sounded like hydraulic fluid leaking); so I stopped movement immediately. No sign of leaking fluid was visible. So I continued to retract slide, it went in. The coach is now in my garage and there is fluid on the floor behind the pssgr tag axel. I will be looking into it tomorrow, any advice where to start?

side note: it's an HWH slide mechanism.
As a parting gift from our trip to He!! and back: upon dropping our Jeep off at the local tire store in Madison, AL we were pulling out of the parking lot and I somehow managed to drop the drives and tag into a ditch JUST enough to put a BIG crack in the rounded part of the windshield... anyone know where I can get a replacement window? :-( Will call the insurance company and hopefully the deductible is not too high for it... another thing to add to my ever-growing list!

1984 Newell.
Traveling through Texas today, and the drivers windshield wiper decided to quit. Rain is predicted on our travels for tomorrow. I can send the wiper back to "park", but can only get it to do one sweep. Of course the passenger side is perfect. Until today we have had no problems with these. I assume they are not vacuum , but air operated? Where do I start looking for the culprit?
My solution for the time being is a fresh coat of Rain X. Not ideal, but the best I could come up with. Any thoughts, Classic owners?
Thanks,
Guy

Well as life sometimes has it, I sold my Newell , but it's going to a really nice retired couple in New York. They bought it to spend the winters in Arizona (he mentioned something about it being real cold in the Buffalo area during the winters).
Owning a Newell has been fun and quite the learning experience, one I will not forget anytime soon.
I'll suggest he join this group, as it has been invaluable to me, and I will continue to read up on the going-ons around here.
Thank you all for your help.
Hello All,
Picked up Coach 431 today and became it's third care taker. Have dreamed of owning a coach of this caliber for 20 years. Drove her 350 miles home through heavy rain, high winds and road construction. For someone that never has never owned or driven a motorhome before I got her home safe and sound. It took 100 or so miles to get the feel of the road. The coach drove like a dream. Reading all the posts on this forum about all that could go wrong I was afraid we would not make it home. What worried me at first was the water temperature gauge would fluctuate between 195 degrees and 220 degrees. I kept expecting to see the check engine light to come on but it never did, and I quit worrying about this and just drove. Is this normal?
Will post a few pictures when I discover how that is accomplished.

Anyone know where there are schematics or plans for the 'solenoid valve isolator'? I took pictures today at the rally of Richard's setup but I need to know which end pieces and what type of tubing to buy (from Amazon because I would spend all day at a hardware store finding it)...
Richard, I am also very interested in the way you drain your tanks - could you share this with the group please? I cannot climb under my coach safely where it is parked so your tubing to the rear with valves is a great idea! Is it 3/8" DOT tubing?
