I have pretty extensive hand tools and lots of 24-volt cordless tools for pretending to work on my coach... 
Where do you guys normally mount your tool box?  In my current coach there is one bay that is devoted to it but I'm not really seeing one on the Newell.  I definitely want it on the curb side and the only really good location has a Joey bed in it.  I was thinking about mounting a 6-10" tall slide drawer tray/box (east/west mounting) that is about 26" wide and 18" deep on the Joey bed - this way it would clear the sides of the Joey bed.  
Then I could mount whatever size regular or middle chest toolbox on top of that.  I think this will work if the Joey bed can handle all the weight... any other (better) ideas?

We left Indiana last Saturday morning headed east. We completed the 1000 mile trip at the Wild Duck Campground in Scarborough, Maine near Portland. The Newell performed flawlessly!! This is the longest trip we've taken since the rebuild. It looks like we will have a few days of rain but we'll "roll with it" and enjoy the time away..!!

The Phillips head screws that attach the molding onto the sides of my Newell loosen over time. I'm wondering if anybody else has this problem and have you found a solution?? I replaced a few of them with stainless steel screws because they were slightly rusty.

Yesterday, I was asked to look at an 07 coach. This is the first time I have observed how the slides operated. The owner wants engineered wood in the salon and carpet
in the bedroom. He operated the front 2 slides for me so I could get the "feel" of how they operated. I was impressed, to say the least. Their precision engineering was what
really caught my attention.
I'm not a newbie at all with slides in all the coaches I have added flooring to. But this coach was, in my opinion, top of the line, in how the slides operated.
So many of the lesser coaches, the slides do all kinds of weird gyrations that quite a lot of them are unpredictable.
I will be "operating" on this coach Feb 1, 2016- I'll post some photos.

Changed out steer and drive axle bags last year. Had to wait 6 weeks for firestone to build because of the 1 inch air supply on the eight bags. Pulled the tag  axle bags on the weekend and found they seem to be common to others that have posted. They are a wo1-358-9378.  After many hours of research, there are none in stock in north america other than at newell which I believe were bridgstone?  @ about $230 usd. Other websites are offering for $170ish but no one had stock.  All of the sites had to have firestone special order. Just for everyones information .

Dear Gurus,
Marilyn and I bought # 277, a 1991 Newell 08-25-15 and brought it home to Mustang, OK. I just retired from the FAA as an aviation safety inspector (pilot) in February.
Marilyn retired back in 2012. She still has more service time than I. I'm also retired US Army last flying CH-47 Chinooks and two wars to my credit. We like to spend
time on our 36' SeaRay cruiser, but our land yacht is a close second.

The coach has about 171,000 miles now and is in basically very good condition. Except for the present supply air issue, everything works, or I have the parts in the garage to
fix it when I get it back home from the shop.

As usual for a used machine, there will be things needing maintenance. We've already installed new tires, are updating most of the lights to LED, new 'porch' lights
for outside, new color backup camera and monitor, new engine temperature sensor for dash gauge, fresh coolant for engine and genset, and new rebuilt correct alternator
with correct foot with proper grounding cable.

It goes to Newell in October to have damage from a side swipe accident repaired. At first, I was afraid the kid was going to hit me head-on, but then looked up from his phone!
After that everything should be functioning as it did from the factory and look about s good as it did then!

Nothing but compliments on the coach! I've changed out the round headed screws in the door frame for countersunk screws and haven't had any more issues of a stuck door.
After we brought it south and exposed it to heat, we couldn't get the door open that first evening in August!

Hi Newell Guy's

Getting ready to do some work on the rear air 6 pack.

Does anybody know where the four 1/4" air lines coming out out of the alum block go exactly? Sad

I know they go to the rear air bags...but which one goes to what air bag?

On the back side of the solenoid block there is one upper line & one lower facing the rear of the coach & the same facing the frt of the coach.

A 3/8" air line feeds a small solenoid going into the alum block.

I had something similar on WOG that I used to keep up with most everything done to the coach during the time we owned it.  I am simply too lazy to keep up with receipts and records so this list worked well for me.  Hopefully you don't mind me keeping it here...

For 1991 # 277 : Took coach to mechanic to have engine temperature sensor and antifreeze changed. Temp gauge works now, but now supply air will not activate or come up.
Am planning to call Newell on Monday, but looking for answers before then. It seems through trouble shooting there is no power to the solenoids to allow the brake air to connect to supply air. Any ideas?
