One of the benefits that attracted me to the Motorhome life is the independence it provides. The ability to stay in a different beautiful area is also great. Most of the time we take advantage of the hook-ups at a campground/resort. I'm curious as to how my fellow RV'ers actually enjoy total independence from hook-ups and how you accomplish that....ie. generator/battery/solar ,water/waste disposal etc. and for how long?
I ask because even though I'm not a water enthusiast I am intrigued as to how these sailing yachts can go for weeks without "support services" by using a desalinater, solar, generator etc.

My husband had dreamed of having a coach. But like many work keeps us from taking her out much. We have had it for 8-9 years. Each time we pull it out it is like the first. I'm so excited to find gurus such as this group. I hope the learning experience will make me a guru someday. Of course I found you as I was looking into info for problem. I'll post later as I work out the details. Thanks Debbie
I am familiar with the procedure to pull the slide in a couple extra inches to access and replace the slide seal.
I am now interested in extending the slide beyond its normal outward stop. I want to expose the last few inches of the floor so I can work on it . I am hoping, someone has been down this path and can offer some suggestions.
Thanks,
Russ

Help! Broke down in Birmingham, Ala. At a Flyin J truck stop.
Need to get my family home.
Need right rear tag axle brake pads! Newell does not have any, and does not know where to get them! Strange? But true.
Also the right rear suspension air bag, and ABS sensor. Please help if you can. Thanks.
Please call asap!

Thanks for inviting me ... I've done some researching and for fit, finish, my intended use, and interest in more of a machine than a camper - Newell keeps popping up. Was looking at Prevost until I realized that they seem more towards "made to drive and will camp" as opposed to "made to camp and will drive" (I say this to illustrate - I'm certain a Newell drives beautifully as well ).
Please help steer me - I (think) I'm interested in the 1990-2002? series non-slide. Were there particularly good years ? Is there equipment that I should look for ? Maybe there weren't enough made for me to be too choosy ...
Ned

Hi all,
Looking for info on the correct part to buy and replace.
As I drove the coach yesterday to get some water and sanitize the system, I heard again the clunk I experienced when I brought the coach home.
It happens on 90 deg , tight turns, a bang when the wheels are coming back to straight....
Crawled under (to see better the Howard Power center cylinder as well) and I find out that the driver side U shape bracket that is supposed to hold the rubber busing on the stabilizer bar in place, is broken, allowing the bar end to somewhat float. It is kept there by the broken, popped up bracket and the outside bolt.
I need to buy a new bracket. Anybody have a diagram and a part number so that I can get it coming ? What I am looking for ?
Appreciate it.

Hello all,
The coach came without a bedroom ceiling fan. The PO took it off and now I need to come up with a replacement.
What should I look for ? Size, height ?
Did anybody upgrade theirs for current production fans and is happy with the outcome ?
Appreciate any insight. Thanks

My Aqua hot is leaking antifreeze out by the exhaust is there a fix or do I get a new one
Gang,
Ok so this is the third thread to talk about the same incident, but since the subject is different, I thought it made sense to break it out into its own thought.
The towing incident discussed in another thread resulted in the following damage...Front drag rails forcibly removed, cowl under generator forcibly removed, trim around front tires damaged, large scratch on rear of bus, new air leak, ability to extend the generator (unknown but doubtful).
Without the cowling, I am concerned about the generator staying cool.
My insurance will pay for up to 100 miles in towing. (I am near Knoxville, TN)
So, does anyone have a suggestion about where to take the coach for repairs? My inclination is to make the coach drivable then head to the factory...but without a generator, that would be a brutal trip. A more general question is has anyone had repairs done at a place beside the factory. (I am aware of the awesome paint and body work done by the place in Nacadoches, TX but wonder if they would know how to make a new cowling)
Any thought/suggestion is welcome.
Thanks, bill
