I went by the bus and decided to take it out and fill it with fuel (before the real fuel price hikes hit!).  I had it fast idling in the shop and during my walk-around noticed a big puddle of water on the floor and about 1/2” trickle (deluge) of water coming from what looked like the water tank.  It was definitely water and not anti-freeze… Is there a good/easy way to see if/where the water is coming from and how hard is it to pull the water tank and repair/replace it?

Good morning/afternoon guru’s. I own coach 776, 2006 Newell. I’m wanting to put lithium batteries in my coach in replace of my agm batteries. I have a Magna sine 3000 inverter. Can I do this? I’ve heard a couple people say “ no you can’t”. Thank you

I want to share what I used to replace the old style Honeywell thermostat for the salon electric heater.

I installed this:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09FQ9L3Q6?p...ct_details

The display appears blue in the image, but is closer to white in person.

This not only looks better in my opinion, but provides it me with access to the heater through the Mysa mobile app.  From the app I can make temperature adjustments, set up a calendar for use, and also see past and current temperature, humidity and usage.  This is something I like to have when I am away from the coach.

It's a bit pricey if I was to replace all the Honeywells, but the app does have the capacity for multiple thermostats.  It's worth it to me.

This is another electrical issue with coach 701, one of the AC Amp meters (L-1 line) at the overhead of the driver's seat shows an amp draw of over 100 amp!
While the L-2 line is about 2 amp.

The reading of over 100amp on the AC L-1 line is apparently erroneous because my Hughes Transformers EPO at the 50A AC power panel reads just 8.1/0.2 Amps, and the Xantrex SCP (Xanbus System Control Panel) shows LOAD: 2 amp, and AC IN: 4 Amp. I don't have much running except the 110V pump that comes on occasionally, some interior lights on, and three outside yard lights that I could not turn off (unless I set the disconnect the "Auxiliary Battery" to OFF).

Picture of the draw readings:

Any thoughts on what could be the cause of the issue and how to fix this?

This issue just started yesterday and here is what i found so far

  • Low voltage fault- reset & panel is now normal
  • Pipes are hot in those zones Aquahot temp 180F on electric
  • Unless there is a location that I don’t know about, the fuses are all good
  • Front zone and bathroom zone are working normal
I have searched the forum for this issue and no new coach advice, the system seems to be different from the older coaches. If someone would point me to the fuse location for the fans, that would be a big help.

Can’t believe i am fault tracing without a wiring diagram, would be unheard of with an aircraft or car. Newell says no wiring diagram available as every coach is different. Can’t believe they didn’t place a build wiring diagram in the coach at initial sale.

My driver's seat seems to blow its fuse when I try to adjust the recline, even with no load on the seat.

I really don't want to put a bigger fuse in, so does anyone have some trouble shooting advice?

Thanks!

I have three Yard Lights on my coach 701, two on the passenger side and one on the driver's side.

My problem is that as soon as the "AUXILIARY BATTERY" disconnect switch (located in the house battery compartment) is turned ON, all three (3) yard lights are turned on with all tests:

Pressing the "Yard Light" control on the panel makes it turn ON or OFF a RED bulb behind the touch key, but it does not affect the yard lights outside.

The below tests, A, C thru E, are done with the Chassis Battery disconnect switch OFF. And B, F, G tests are done with Chas-Batt ON. And the “MERG” switch in front of the driver’s seat is ON:

Testing condition A:  Shore-Power ON, Generator OFF, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery OFF, Chassis Batt OFF, Engine OFF:  Yard Lights OFF.

Testing condition B:  Shore-Power ON, Generator OFF, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery OFF, Chassis Batt ON, Engine OFF,  Yard Lights OFF.

Testing condition C:  Shore-Power ON, Generator OFF,  Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery ON, Engine OFF:  Yard Lights ON(unable to turn off)

Testing condition D:  Shore-Power OFF, Generator ON, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery ON, Engine OFF:  Yard Lights ON (unable to turn off)

Testing condition E:  Shore-Power OFF, Generator ON, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery OFF, Engine OFF:  Yard Lights ON (unable to turn off)

Testing condition F:  Shore-Power OFF, Generator OFF, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery OFFEngine ON:  Yard Lights ON (unable to turn off)

Testing condition G:  Shore-Power OFF, Generator OFF, Inverter/Charger ON, Auxiliary Battery ONEngine ON:  Yard Lights ON (unable to turn off)

The above tests show the yard lights are always on whenever either Engine or Generator is on, and turning the Auxiliary Battery disconnect switch position has no effect.

My question is, are there relays located somewhere that control the left and right side yard lights when the touch-key controls are pressed?

And my 2nd question is why I have to leave the “MERG” switch on in order to be able to turn on the VALID leveling controller (Engine OFF”) status?

If I don’t turn on this MERG switch, the valid leveling controller remains off, cannot be turned on power.
Wiring error? This valid leveling controller was replaced with a new one by a repair shop 4 months ago.

Any thoughts or ideas on how I can troubleshoot this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Every morning when I walk into the coach there's a loud buzzing noise coming from the speaker area on the driver's side just above the driver's head on the driver's bulkhead. It is a 120 volt relay which is energized sending power to something. Any ideas?
