Going through the front brakes on the '86 , finding that parts for  the  Rockwell Q series are not found on every street corner . I have finally gotten new adjusters, air chambers, cam kits , shoe hardware kits , and a shop in Birmingham has relined the shoes . If I could start over I would upgrade to Q Plus , but here I am . Just had the drums turned , was excited at the prospect of finally being able to put everything back together .... then I looked closer at the drums...
One drum didn't clear up completely , and is at the max diameter  ( 16.625) . Both have high spots in the freshly machined surface , no doubt due to local hot / hard spots  that caused their tool to deflect . So the search for new drums resumes ..
The closest thing I have found is the Gunite 2920 X which is very close except for overall height . Just wondering if anyone has found a good source for the brake drums ?

my small 120V compressors are running for 30 seconds about every 8 minutes.
I am trying to locate the leak or leaks.
My plan is to unhook the entry door, drivers seat, generator air bag system, slide door seal control cabinet, and cap off each of those systems air lines.
Hopefully that will lead me in the right direction.
I have already put the leveling system in manual, that didn't seem to help.
Don't think leak is in air bags or leveling controls.
air bags stay up with compressor off. Plus I had Newell service go thru air bag system last fall.
I have to find the control solenoid for the sliding doors, not sure where they are.
If that doesn't work then I plan to move under the coach and begin that fun search.
I am assuming there is a small storage tank dedicated to the 120V compressed air system?
Does anyone have any idea where it is located?
Am I missing any other systems served from the 120 system?

Good morning, I hope all is healthy and doing what’s necessary to stay that way. This is truly a extraordinary time for America, we need to stick together and we’ll pull ourselves through. Stay busy and don’t touch your face. Easier said than done. 

In December I traded my GMC Canyon and Jeep Wrangler on a Jeep Gladiator. The new daily driver and tow vehicle. I just added a ARE truck bed cover to give us more options with the Jeep. I’ve enjoyed the Gladiator and have no regrets on this purchase.

                                       

The ARE cap has a Yakima Jetstream rack system on top. 

We’re looking forward to traveling with the Gladiator and its additional flexibility.

So after getting the rv home I of course am sorting issues, I have been trying to get my local OTA channels with the smart tv that is in the salon (bedroom behemoth boat anchor tv gone already) with no success, so off I go to lowes to get a coaxial toner to search where the Wingard road star 2000 entered into the coach.

I toned all cables there was one in bedroom and one in salon the read "broken" so I guess that means that somewhere there is a break, I also found that the 12v rooftop wire was not connected at all.

Since my curbside salon slide houses the tv I dont see a way to run a new coax, I'm sure if I want it to work thats what I'll have to do.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Well it looks like the Newell guys are going to shut down production for a while due to the outbreak.

Not sure if they will carry a skeleton crew or not. Forgot to ask that ?

Here’s what happened..... I was starting to cook dinner using two different electrical appliances, one plugged into outlet over kitchen counter, and one plugged into outlet under dinette....all was well for about 5-6 min., and then I turned on the fan over the pantry....not sure that’s what did it ,but shortly thereafter, the outlets with the appliances (pluggged into power strips) stopped....and from there, as my husband started trying things.....there are no circuit breakers for the kitchen or the GFCI outlets apparently!  He tried to reset the one GFCI outlet that has those little buttons, and not one would pop.  He went outside to check our pedestal, and turns out that we blew 1/2 of it  instead of the 220 we had only 120, and he had to change our cord to the next pedestal and call the manager!  Anyway, we have no idea what the problem is, where it could be or how to fix it.  Every outlet on the passenger side of the coach is out, and then the one at the driver’s seat, and both under the dinette.  We have 7 outlets that won’t work, and only one is not a GFI.  Anyone have any ideas?

Could it be possible to create a specific area on the web sight that we can upload or download manuals for reference material.  I have several manuals that I have in PDF format that would be very helpful to Newell owners. I think it would be great to create a sight specific area for such information to be shared. This could be the best time saving, information sharing that would be very helpful to all owners.

I saw a post about awnings on Big rig rv . Someone commented that their automatic awning retracted during a rainstorm when they really needed it. Others liked the electric awning because of the absence of support arms. I'm interested in comments Pro/con about different awning types.

We have been at an RV park for the last three weeks, hooked up to shore power. Got a fault and temperature alarm on the inverter panel today. Opened the house battery bay and one battery is hot and bubbling. The other five batteries are cool to the touch. How can I disconnect the house batteries to let this cool down enough to check/add distilled water?
Are the house batteries necessary if using shore power?
Just got the coach out of repair for major electrical issues before coming to this park...
I know this may have been addressed in other threads, but I have not found it yet and don't want to take too much time. Any help would be appreciated.
