Forum: Replacement part information

Hey All,

I posted a couple of years back how great my experience with Grohe was and again I need to let you all know that my kitchen faucet started to have a small leak in the handset. I called Grohe and they verify your part number needs and take your name and address and it's on the way to me. This has been the same for years. I have had Grohe fixtures from Germany for a long time and never had to pay for any needed replacement parts ever, no matter what it is and how much it costs, it's covered under lifetime warranty. I will never buy any other brand.

I'm frozen in in FT. Collins, CO with temps down below zero to 12 deg today and last week. My air system is not working at all. Bay heaters are working and so is Aquahot, thank goodness! I don't need to move the coach so that helps.
Engine compressor and 110v and 12v compressors won't build pressure so the air toilet doesn't work. Is there a workaround?
I thought of heating the air dryer.

I wonder of one of the gurus with 365 tires would take some measurements for me. If you use the flat face of the aluminum rim as the reference plane, how far is the front and the rear edge of the tire from this reference plane? And, how far is the inner edge of the fender flare from this plane?

Hello.

We were just told that the ECM is going out on our coach. The yellow check engine light has been acting up when I get ready to start it, and would turn off the key and let everything go back through the cycle. When we were in WV a month ago it started taking several times to get the light to go off.

This weel I took it to have the broken stud on front passenger side side replaced and it came on while I was driving the 90 mile trip. The error code was saying EEPROM checksum write error. They did a test and said the following: Active code for non volatile memory failure in the ECM, The ECM is failing and the RTC battery is running on life support. The guy said that when it goes out that the coach will just die and will not be able to start back up.

Has anyone had any issues like this? Any information would be great!

Thanks
Pam

I have an '89 with a 20 gal Raritan 120V water heater; and the switch inside the coach (kitchen) just went bad. It physically broke internally. I'm trying to figure out how to get the heater working again as we begin our trip from Maine to Florida tomorrow. The switch in question is a Carling rocker switch, rated at 125V 16A. I have tried replacing it with a similarly rated Taiwanese switch, also having three spade prongs in the back. The numbering system on the replacement is reversed from top to bottom, 3,2,1 instead of the 1,2,3 on the old Carling switch. I have tried reconnecting the wires both ways, 1,2,3 and 3,2,1 with no luck. I would be satisfied just connecting the wires together with a wire nut and leaving the heater permanently on, since I could flip the circuit breaker if I needed to turn it off. However, I am confused by the fact that there are three spades in the back instead of only two. I don't know which is which: which one might be for the internal light in the switch, or a ground, or what. We are beginning the trip on a Sunday. Since the new switch hasn't worked, and I'm unsure about the wiring plan for the switch, I will just rely on the engine heat to warm our water unless someone can advise me on a way to bypass the switch. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. - Dick Quirk
