This is one of the most beautiful Classic Newell's on the road. The coach was completely refurbished in 2006, both inside and out by the original owner. The external paint is a modern design in shades of brown and gold. The interior is especially beautiful, with 2 new Flexsteel Captain chairs and one sofa bed, all in white leather. There is Ceramic flooring throughout, black granite counter tops and many other modern upgrades. The coach was converted to electric when refurbished, although there is a large propane tank and 2 burner propane stove top in the bay. Lots of folks ask me if she is a new coach that looks old or an old coach that looks new. Ha Ha The coach has always been kept fully serviced and maintained, especially the 6V92, which has about 125,000 miles on her. She includes; a full size electric stainless steel fridge/freezer, 2 burner black ceramic stove top, black microwave, 3 new air conditioners, one front mounted large HD TV with surround sound and sub woofer under the sofa bed, one smaller tv mounted in the bedroom wall, direct tv satellite and cable, Pioneer voice controlled GPS with CD and FM/AM radio, back up camera, new Splendide washer/dryer combo, full size stand up shower and separate bathroom/powder room with hammered steel sink, vanity mirror and lights in the bedroom, double bed and an unusual amount of overhead and below storage which is very wonderful, full size black power awning, trailer hitch, pull out deep freeze/fridge in bay, 2 burner propane stovetop in bay, and many more features. Last summer, the coach had new front tires installed, 4 levelling valves were replaced, the generator received a full service and new head gasket, and the engine was fully serviced. We recently completed a 4000 mile cruise through the USA and the coach ran perfect, strong and smooth. Primarily, I use the coach for short (200 - 500 mile) trips, doing about 10 per season. I'm in a rock band and we use the coach as a tour bus when practical. I also have had the coach at many music festivals and concerts. The coach attracts a lot of attention and is much loved. Recently, my wife and I have purchased a secondary home in Mexico and will be living there for the 6 months over the winter so would like a new owner who can carry on the legend. As always, I store the coach for the winter on my property in a shaded, protected area with all gas tanks (2 engine and 1 generator) full to the top, plugged in with the batteries charged. I will have the coach serviced this Spring and continue to use her until a new owner is established. Call Glenn to discuss in more detail at 250-548-4166. That's in British Columbia, Canada. Priced at $58,500.00 USD[attachment=3198][attachment=3205][attachment=3205][attachment=3205][attachment=3205][attachment=3205][attachment=3205][attachment=3205]
Hello Newell Gurus,
I joined this group to see if I could find more information and source of parts for the Cesana Circle shower I know was installed in some, maybe many, Newells. At the end of the day information was sparse, regardless of where I looked. I also discovered the few sources selling the door rollers were charging way too much for me to justify.
Seeing I came here looking for information I thought I'd share a procedure I wrote on how to fix the bent door support. Here's a link to the procedure: http://tinyurl.com/Cesana-Shower
Cesana no longer has a US distributor, which may explain the crazy prices I was quoted. So, I also worked hard to source some door rollers for a much more reasonable price than I was able to find. If anyone needs a pair of rollers (just the rollers, not including the covers) I have a few left. Email me if you are interested, [email protected]. I'm selling them for $160 a pair.
I've noticed when making a post that after my post appears on the screen there is a "loading page" circle thingy that appears and if I close that tab it asks me if I want to leave or cancel. It seems as if it is trying to make a 2nd post.
I've noticed recently a few double posts from other people. Maybe there is a bug?
We (that'd be my wife, two young kids, and I) will be spending the month of July at Tiger Run in Breckenridge. Anyone that is passing through or staying there, please stop by and say hi.
I'd like to take some time to visit southern Colorado while we are there. I was thinking Creede or Pagosa Springs areas. Does any one have any campground recommendations or driving/hwy advice? Roads to avoid? Drivability of roads?
We are ok camping in state parks, campgrounds, or RV parks. We are ok dry camping. Just don't want to reserve spots I can't get into or that I regret!
Thanks for any advice!
Gang,
Was driving on interstate between Montgomery, AL and Auburn, AL when all of a sudden my drivers window shattered. I was not in heavy traffic and saw no rocks fly.
The center of the cracking in in bottom third of window about a third in. There is no hole in the glass.
So my questions are:
1) What the heck just happened?
2) What is the repair scenario? Replace whole window or just the pane?
3) Since I cannot drive with a shattered window (especially since I cannot see mirror). Do I knock it out and then put in a piece of plexiglass?
4) Has this happened to anyone else...or is it my snake-bit ways?
Cheers,
bill

I left Mexico this AM and after perhaps 50 miles I hit a fairly rugged pothole. After that a alarm started beeping somewhere within my dash. I then found out that the steps were not retracting fully, but after lubricating, they started retracting fully. The beeping alarm has continued. Every gauge concerning the engine and trans show a normal operation and I have driven about 300 miles with everything operating normally, except the beeping. Any idea what this beeping is caused by?
Gang,
My Girard main awning (Girard G-2000) was not adjusted for slope and essentially extended straight out from coach. This caused two problems. 1) It was ugly and looked weird. 2) Water would pool in the middle of the fabric during rain storms.
Steve Bare, loaned my his "Adjustment and Repair Manual". The book give you insight into how to make the adjustment but came up a little short.
This post is to provide a little insight and some pictures which should help you get started.
- Each arm is adjustable, and from what I experienced has a wide adjustment latitude.
- There are two bolts that need too be loosened and one that does the adjustment.
- In order to make the adjustments easier, only extend your awning a few feet. (Fully extended puts a lot of weight on the adjustment bolt).
- You are going for 20 (or more) degrees down angle from the coach, and a 3 degree front to back angle.
- Use a 19mm (3/4") wrench on both the set bolts and the adjustment bolt.
- It takes a lot of torque to move the bolts (I tried some WD40 and it helped but did not make it easy)
- The overall adjustment is not difficult.
- **The manual said to turn clock-wise (looking from the bottom) to lower. In my case your had to go counter-clock-wise.
1) Extend your awning a few feet
2) On one arm loosen both side bolts on the out base of the arms. (See pictures)
3) Adjust the bottom adjustment bolt. (counter-clock-wise to lower)
4) Repeat for other arm.
5) Once you are pretty close, extend the awning and measure from the ground to the front of awning, and again from back. (You are going for 3 degrees of front to back tilt).
6) Pull the awning in and make fine adjustments until you have the right slope away from coach and the correct front to back slope.
7) Tighten the set bolts .
8) Enjoy a cold beverage under your newly adjusted awning.
Cheers,
bill
The awning on my coach was attached with large stainless steel sheet metal screws, after 30+ years they were stripping out of the sheet metal.
I was surprised that there was no support behind the upper mounts and only one of the screws on each of the lower mounts had any support behind it.
I took them all out and installed 1/4 x 20 rivet nuts and stainless bolts tonight, really slick and should hold for another 30 years.
How are the awnings attached on the newer coaches?
Scott
