Thinking of getting a new GPS, not too satisfied with my Magellan. Only thing I like about it is the 7" screen.
Considering of getting the Garmin dezl 7" or maybe using a 7" tablet with either Co-pilot software, or just using the built-in navigation. I would like to have the capability of height restrictions, turns, etc. on the tablet.
One other thing is why are gps's in landscape mode? Wouldn't it be better if they were in portrait mode? It would give you twice as much forward view of the map. At least with a tablet and the right mount I could use it like that.
Anyone using a 7" tablet for navigating in the coach?

Garmin has just announced a new version of the 760 LMT specifically for RVs. The difference appears to be the inclusion of

Well on my '93 I had no problem on 30 amp running what I needed to.
But with the '98 and the SCS basement a/c will I have any problems if I'm on 30 amp?
I do have a splitter to plug into either 2 30 amp or 1 30 + 1 15 amp.
I have the Coleman Mach thermostats and what I understand is that if I switch the fan switch to low then only 1 compressor on each unit will run.
And I can run the Aquahot on diesel. So I guess I'll be ok on 30 amp.
Anybody did this?

the 3m clear plastic shield on the front of our coach looks terrible. it has started to yellow and has dings in it.

we are putting a stainless trim piece across the front and newell strongly suggested to remove the mask at leas where the stainless strip goes. i had read online about how there is no easy way and many people ruin their paint doing it.

well today, darlene decided to take it off and of course she was right again and i was wrong. or at least too conservative.

working on it for late morning and all afternoon, she has about 1/4 to 1/3rd removed with no damage to the paint. i believe this coach is imron and very hard paint.

she is using a hair dryer and a heavy plastic chisel that steve bare had and scraping the shield off in strips with it and then using goo gone to remove the rest of the mask.

there is no easy way and i helped her some this afternoon. she hopes to have most of it done tomorrow. that will be some kinda record from what i have read about removing this stuff.

This past Friday we arrived in Janesville, WI to overnight at a Walmart. As we exited the Interstate the speedo was working, and so was the cruise control. The next morning both had stopped working. Have checked fuses, and wiring inside coach, but will have to trouble shoot back to the engine compartment. Can anyone tell me where the speedometer sending unit, or sensor is on an '82 Classic?

Has been raining the past two days so haven't pursued the outdoor trouble shooting yet.

I have several dead bulbs in the small overhead lights that I want to replace. I am hesitant to try to remove the bezel using a screwdriver for fear of screwing up the light. How are these removed?

i am a big guy. (but i did meet someone recently that made me feel small and he knows who he is)

my air drivers seat barely keeps me up. it works fine when darlene is driving.

is there some way of increasing slightly the air pressure that goes to the seat? how much air pressure goes to the seat?

is there a regulator for it somewhere?

mine is the only one i have seen anywhere that has both basement double aircon units on the drivers side. one is behind the drivers seat and the other is the 3rd bay (one bay apart) from the other one.

since ours was a race coach and had the covers over the bay doors and passenger side wheels when used for hospitality, they didnt want the aircons making noise or being covered up on that side. so they are both on the drivers side.

mystery solved. if i had thought about it more, i would have figured it out earlier
