I have used this shop several times. They are a full service facility and they mainly do motor coaches and buses. They do all the tour buses, star buses and motor coaches that frequent Branson. They are not the cheapest shop in town, but I never had to return because something wasn't fixed right. It is a very professionally run shop with a nice & clean facility. Ken is the on site owner. They offer 24 hr emergency service. Their address is 2652 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson, Missouri. Their phone number is (417) 336-5935. Their web site is: http://www.bransonmotorcoach.com/

Several years ago I had a hydraulic line break on my coach. I called SJS Truck and Equipment Repair in Pembroke, NH. A mobile mechanic responded to my location, removed the hose, went and had the new hose made, returned and put in on. The response and his work was excellent. He was very professional! His charges were more than reasonable. Their phone number is (603) 496-0466.

In speaking with Bob Standeford about his breakdown, he felt it would be very helpful if the Guru web site had a service recommendation area. This seems like a good spot for us to add our recommendations. I challenge all Gurus to add their favorite service locations, with a quick review of services, location and phone number. We have members from all over the country so over time we can cover a large area. The person you're helping is another Newell owner!

My Marantz AV surround receiver SR4300 just blew up. Driving today had classic vinyl on xm on dish playing, not loud so we could talk. Heard a loud thump/pop and no mo' music.
Oh well guess it's time to get another one.
I'd like one more compact and with a remote.
Any suggestions? Don't want to spend too much maybe $100-200.
I had the privilege of visiting and touring Forest and Cindy's Coach just before they left Motorhomes of Texas (MOT). I thought I might like this coach if I had the funds available and sure enough, I liked it a bunch.
While there, I mentioned I have read the Newell forum almost everyday for several years. Forest encouraged me to register. He also encouraged me to share I am a Factory Authorized Mobile Aqua Hot Service Center located in greater Houston, Tx, area.
I have been servicing heaters for 3.5 years now. I am not as busy as my friend Roger Berke (a true Aqua Hot Guru) so I can offer phone help to any forum member needing assistance with their heater for free. All I ask is if there is a failed part, please purchase it from Roger. He offers a modest discount, most of the time free shipping and no sales tax outside of Ca. This helps him support the funds needed for the Aqua Hot forum several of you all have found helpful.
I have a Newell client in the Houston area which has giving me some experience servicing a Newell install. They are the very best installs of any I have worked on.
Should you wish some assistance, e-mail me at jrlegett at gmail dot com or phone at 7 one 3 - 8 one 8 - 3234. I see my e-mail on my phone which is on during the waking hours of each day. If I can not talk right then, I will call back soon. I consider it a privilege to help other owners with questions regarding their heaters.
I am enjoying finding this forum as I have missed the informative posts I used to read on the old forum and have found members that I have wondered where they went. Now I know, thanks Forest.
While I am not as skillful as encantotom and my Foretravel is not as substantial a coach as a Newell, I have used info found here to improve my Foretravel, so many thanks for helping me in the past.
All the best and safe travels.
I'll post a picture of the tool that I copied from Tom. Tool allows you to isolate individual sections of your air system to determine if that section has a leak.
I'm posting this for a fellow Newell owner who is broke down in a rest area outside of Amarillo, TX. He has a series 60 engine. Looking at the side of the engine from the last compartment on the passenger side, there is some type of air valve that mounts to the back side, up high on the engine air compressor. It has castings that say: "Bendix T-293975-G". It is above where the fuel pump mounts. The unidentified valve has two 1/4" air lines going to it that disappear going forward in the coach. On the side of the valve is a threaded port that is identified as "exh". Bob has air escaping out that exhaust port. He is only able to build 50 psi. Photos below:
Do our SCS basement air conditioners have filters?
Where are they?
Are they the replaceable type or washable type?
