From what I've seen, it looked like a Newell is probably out of my price range. Then I saw this: http://boise.craigslist.org/rvs/3441702580.html and started wondering. That got more questions coming to the surface, so I guess it is time to ask the experts.
1. The grill under the navigator's seat looks like it might be for a generator. True? There is a similar one under the driver's seat. Why?
2. Or, might this coach have cruiseaire units? I didn't see any rooftop a/c units. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
3. How does a Newell like this compare to a Wanderlodge of similar age and size? Looks like the Newell has somewhat larger tanks and has the same engine. Would weights be similar, too? I realize that there are only so many ways one can arrange the interior of a box. I'm not asking about that, but about the stuff that really matters: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, construction, etc.
4. The ad says that it has "Air Suspension and Leveling." Does that mean it is like the Foretravels, which don't have leveling jacks, but instead use the airbags to level the coach? Or does it mean that it is like the 'Birds, using leveling jacks, but that the jacks are air-operated?

I saw this on WOG http://boise.craigslist.org/rvs/3441702580.html and wondered about the price. That price seems a bit low, but certainly in our price range. We like the mid-entry. There is a lot of information that is missing, but then since it is a repo by the CU I suspect that they don't have any idea of what they actually have. They just want their money and parking spaces back.
Anyone know anything about this coach?
Preparing for the winter again. My old standby self made hose died... so bought one of the new Pirt H50 heated hoses. Tried it out last night still have water this am.. So hopefully good to go for the winter.. I know that most of you head for the warm places, so no need, but anyone have experiance with this hose?

I was looking at a 2013 Newell that is for sale. The pictures of the awnings show an awning I have never seen. It appears they are Girard awnings that come out to cover the slides and then drop down at an angle for shade. Never seen these before. Looks like a great idea. Went to Girard web site, but didn't see them. Any one seen these?
Homeless!
We have a sale on the house, got through the inspection, heard today the appraisal is good. Hope to hear later this week on a closing date but the mortgage said they are on schedule to close on the 21st.
Cindy and I have been real busy this last month cleaning out the house and barn. Sold my boat
, bought a RZR
, hope to move the furniture into storage this weekend.
So our plans are to stay in a local campground until mid-February then head out somewhere on our way to the rally in Spearfish.
Hope to see and meet everybody on the road somewhere.

Ventura beaches are only 12 miles away! farmers Market on sunday in Ojai.
We are avid cyclist , and love to ride up in the mountain passes, we are only 8 miles away from great route 33.
Blue skys every day with 70F for high! only 2 other people camping next to us! nice solitute if you like lots of space with huge lake and mountains views. Wine country just around the corner in Solvang area
Lake Casitas offer about 7-8 phases with amazing sides , some with full hook ups and some more remote , lake is about 2 miles across with super vistas!
We are staying here for 2 months and in january we are off to Tucson AZ for another 2 months.
lake Casitas charges for snowbirds program some 900$ per months with full hook up include electricity. park is free off crime with patrol park everywhere ! boat rental, kayaks, cenoes for rent etc.

this is a question about our detroits, kubota/yanmar diesel engines and fuel additives.
i know there are a variety of opinions on additives. i was reading on the wanderlodge site about leaky o rings on fuel injector pump o rings and how to repair them (on a kubota).
one person said he ran a diesel fuel additive. then i know there is additives to prevent algae growth.
now that we have low sulphur fuels at the pumps, it is different than what alot of our engines was expecting when they were designed (or is that the case?).
anyway, i would love to hear from some of you on what your thoughts are on putting fuel additives in. it can get pretty pricey given the size of our fuel tanks. (200-320 gallons)
thoughts?
tom
If anyone has any suggestions of a place that is warm the day after Christmas let me know! I am looking for a place to go for 7 days and I really would like to have some nice warm weather and places to ride the RZR! Any suggestions?
Thanks
Pam
