Number 1 & 3 rooftop A/C unit fans would start-stop-start-stop-start & run. Both units started doing that on the same day. I checked the fan capacitors, they were out of tolerance. Then I found an intermittent start capacitor and a run capacitor out of tolerance. I ended up replacing all four A/C units fan (7.5uf) and run (40uf) capacitors and replaced the 4 start capacitors & PTCR's with
Supco SPP6 . Then I cleaned the evaporator coils and condenser coils. I checked the compressor terminals, they were good, it's not uncommon to find an overheated terminal on the compressor. I move the terminal back & forth to ensure a good connection. I spent wo days on that project, hopefully it cured the intermittent fan problem.

No. Here's a photo of the intermittent capacitor.

I have those SPP6's on all four of my SCS compressors. Helps keep from slamming the generator with a big load when the compressors kick on. I keep a couple spares as well.

I thought the problem of the A/C fan starting on-off-on-off over & over was cured but it kept doing it. Turns out the new Silverleaf TM200 with firmware 1.39 that I acquired a few months ago has programming problems. I installed the original TM200 with firmware 1.16 & the A/C units are working correctly now.
The folks at Trillium are working on a new firmware to resolve the problem. The new TM200's have a different processer which requires programming changes & apparently I'm one of the guinea pigs.

Hmm, that module would be taken out from controlling my AC’s, but that’s me. I guess this is the stuff that allows you to control everything from an IPad or HMI interface? I have remote control for my AC’s through my thermostats that I changed, that is good enough for me. Glad you guys are out there figuring this stuff out Jim, this I am sure will help some others at some point.
