The blower motor is out on my dash ac. I was wondering what blower motor was used for the floor blower? Also, the compressor sounds like the bearings are about to go out. What compressor was used? Thank You

I have a leak that is dripping into the bay with my inverters on a 2004 Newell coach 680.  The water is following the electrical wires as they come into that bay.  I cannot find any water or wet spots within the coach.   The grey water by pass was on but the cap was closed.  I am trying to see if when the water dries up if it leaks again with bypass off and tank open.

However even if that works I am concerned that there is a lose connection somewhere in my grey water line that may be a slow leak without the water backing up.

I am at the dealership picking up the coach and discovered this during shake out.

Any ideas or suggestions on where to look or possible causes is appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm enjoying my new ( 2018 ) Newel coach (# 1630 ) and I'm learning a lot.  With the springtime just around the corner, I am looking forward to really getting out on the road during the year.
I have a question that I haven't talked with the factory about yet but..........many times when I'm filling the tanks with fuel, the nozzle keeps shutting off prematurely. I try to re-arrange the nozzle and it works for a while but usually kicks off.  Also, I very seldom am able to use full flow.  It seems I usually have to hold the nozzle half way.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Gregory Miller

Does anyone, that is going to the rally in May, have an extra shower door plexiglass clamp that I could buy from you?  Ours just broke this morning.  I have a small wood clamp that works in the interim but I would like to replace the broken plexiglass piece.

Just PM me if you happen to have an extra one laying around that you would be willing to sell me.

Thanks,
Oscar

Dear Newell Friends, In order to repair the digital clocks many of us have in the coach, I really need some pictures, or your clock if it is broken!  If nothing else, I really need clear color pictures of the circuit board(s) showing the colors of the resistor components.  I have found at least two variants.  However, it appears I can find most parts needed to repair these units.  I especially need information on the clocks I have pictured.

If you would like to ship a clock, please send to:

The person that purchased my coach #579 hired the firm posted below and Eric was the inspector.  I was most impressed by the completeness of his inspection.  He spent 5 1/2 hours on the inspection and sent away liquid samples for all liquids, including Detroit engine, generator and AquaHot.  I am posting this because many have asked on the forum who to hire to check out their potential purchase.

So now that I have my air leaks under control and my furnaces working I am focusing on my tag brakes.
The issue is that they lock up to easily leaving 6 inch flats on them every time but they do smoothen out over time but by then I usually get more flats from hard stops. So I took the coach in and had them backed off supposedly further than usual setting but after I tested the brakes and the drivers side tag wheel locked up. Before both side locked together. So I figured maybe the mechanic's wrench slipped and his settings were not a match. Frustrated and not knowing much about these brakes I went to you tube and learned as much as I could. So seeing how easy it is to adjust I readjusted them myself to recommended settings which is touch the shoes to the drum and back off 1/2 turn, at least I know they are both at the same setting. Checking travel distance for the push rod which is called to be less than 2 inches I show 1.5 inches so they are in spec. I have not tested them yet and don't plan on it till we leave to go back east probably within in a couple weeks. I know some of these same length coaches were made without tags, whay couldn't the brakes be taken out of use? My issue in trying to solve this over the years has been other mechanics checking the adjustments, adding more pressure to the tag but nothing has worked and tires are not cheap. I am told even If the brakes are backed way off being auto slack adjusters they will go back to where they should be so that does not seem to be the answer. Some say to Cage the brakes, some say to disconnect and plug the air lines.
Would the DOT have an issue with disconnecting the brakes?

Hi, everybody...

I've been lurking for a bit, and decided to register, yesterday.  Never having owned a motorhome/coach or any other type of RV, I'm new to it ALL.  I have always loved to drive and have driven cross country several times, so the prospect of RV travel has been on my wish list for years.  My wife and I would be occasional users with maximum traveling periods of, perhaps, a month.  For example, we're Philadelphia sports fans, so the concept of following the Phillies on a road trip would be on our "hit" list.  If all goes according to plan, we hope to make a purchase in the next 12-18 months.

My initial search was focused on new or late model Tiffin & Newmar products, but a friend who is a former Newell owner suggested that I consider them.  When I told him that I wasn't in the Newell price range, he recommended buying an older unit due the build quality.  I hadn't thought of going in that direction, initially, so, I started digging, and that's what has led me to this site.  I've never actually seen in a Newell in person (Philadelphia doesn't seem to be a hot bed for them!), and I've only walked through a handful of rigs of any make, so, hence, the "green as grass" subject line.  Frankly, we do still have to decide whether we want 45 feet of motorhome...plus toad...but that's part of the process, I guess.  Driving something of that size doesn't really concern me, but I do have concerns about "fitting" where we might want to go.  If we do end up in the Newell camp, it looks like our price point will put us in the 2004-2006ish range, and I see that spans a couple "generations"...don't know the significance of that, but I'm sure I'll learn.  :Smile  (Note:  I do know that Tiffin/Newmar & Newell are totally different animals, so don't mean to imply otherwise.)

Sorry for the long introduction, but figured that a little bit of our backstory couldn't hurt.  Glad to be here...
