My wife has fallen in love with the 45' Newells with at least one slide out...
We are in a 1990 Bluebird Wanderlodge WB40 and are looking for something larger.  We live full-time in our Bird and love the community of fellow Birders.  Newell is our next choice although I don't like fiberglass (had 3 other Foretravels...)
We will probably be in the 1998 to 2002 price range...  We want something we can put a Murphy bed in the rear and can use the bedroom during the day for an office...

As many of you are aware I was towed to Newell 2 weeks ago with a broken driveline, and the coach wouldn't go. Well over the weekend I lost a shroud on number 3 roof air. It will not work without the shroud. Trips breaker. Returned to Newell Monday they were nice enough to paint and replace shroud. Since I was there I had them check brakes. Steers , 50%. Tag, 50%. Drive, needs replacing..

Also bought a spare 315 to have in stacker to go along with my 365's.. (Thanks Bill)..

Well passenger side rotor on passenger side was cracked , so replaced rotor too..

As I was leaving Newell going under the low bridge. We had just had a monsoon rain went through 2 feet of water.. Check engine light was on..  Back to Newell everything just got wet.. Finally made it home this afternoon

This morning darlene and i got a call from Phyllis Arntzen to tell us that Wally died on monday while back east on a construction job.  Wally and Phyllis have been dear friends of ours for many years and have been in our home and we have traveled with them in our Newells.  He beat prostrate cancer a few years ago and was truely a survivor in many ways.  Many of you old time gurus knew Wally.

Wally was 76.  He fulltimed in his 1988 40' Newell for many years before settling back down in his home state of minnesota.  He was the 8th member of the Gurus forum and was not one to post much, but he knew Newells inside and out.  He loved his coach, but more than anything he loved his family and people.  Wally was an army vet and one of the biggest hearted people i have ever known.

He started a charity in 1971 called HEART, and his story is here on their web page   http://www.heartinc.org/how-it-began/

I know there are services next week, but do not know the details.

I will send Phyllis a link to this for her to see any comments you all make and if you would like to contact her directly please send an email through the forum by looking up Wally through his user name

Wally Arntzen

or click on this link to take you to where you can send an email

and send an email through the forum and Phyllis will get them.

Phyllis, there is an empty spot in my heart with Wally gone.

Our prayers are with you.

Tom and Darlene

This guy is selling a used VMSPC with the 9 pin round connector.  Silverleaf sells the rectangular connector for Newells for ~$40 I think.

These are the four gas springs used to hold up the rear engine cover on my coach.  Not sure how many years these parts will be the same.  The link includes all measurements needed to verify if they will work on your year Newell.

How do I adjust a Delco Remy 19020413 ?? No visible signs of anything on it except the permanent diagram decal that indicates in a diagram "to increase voltage turn clockwise" with an arrow.

Seems like my year old merge switch is in need of replacement as it works for indiscriminate periods and then not.
