On my way home from Denver to Tulsa I had a warning on my DDEC Pro Driver. (TPS Circuit Fail Low) it also had Check engine light on. What does this mean and how do I fix it? Should I worry, will my engine shut down or blow up? Thanks for your help. My unit is #516, 1999, I have just over 100,000 miles

We have been in Ouray, Co for a week. Ron Skeen and wife Jean are also here. Ron has completely reduced me to a limp dish rag... I can hang no longer......After climbing mountains, heights of nearly 14,000ft. My hats off to this Champion! I taken a day off to wash my coach, which seems like a picnic compared to riding with Ron in his RZR. (He left again this morning for another 60 mile ride.) Jean has gone over to Telluride for lunch and shoppin. Connie is taking art lessons with a (famous Artist who is in town) for a few days. We may consider staying thru Sept...Weather has been all over the place, Sun, Rain, Warm, Cold. but never HOT.
Can you say Cocktails, and lounge chair?

Last I've heard, Larry and James may be headed this way.

Well, guess it's my turn. Yesterday I noticed that breaker #7 was tripped. This is marked as A/C #2 so I am assuming it is for the 2nd compressors on the SCS basement units. I tracked it down to the front A/C that trips the breaker as soon as I turn the fan from Lo to Hi (which on my thermostat is how to control whether only 1 compressor LO or both compressors HI come on). I checked the breaker wires and they are tight, checked the 120v wires on both a/c circuit boards and on the rear they were tight. On the front a/c they were snug so I tightened them. But when I switch the 2nd compressor to on the breaker trips immediately.
The fans appear to be working on both front and rear.
Suggestions?

A while I tried using the curb-side dump and it wouldn't work. I'll try again this morning but wondering if anyone knows where the fuse would be?
I looked in all the obvious places but didn't find one.

Has anyone found a better radiator for our series 60's than Atlas?
It seems to have some inherent problems and not built as well as we would expect.
Surely a custom radiator shop could build a better one if we could find the specs.

I have wondered about the accuracy of the fuel mileage function. At home I filled the fuel tank to overflow on a level floor. On the next fuel stop I filled to overflowing on a level pad. I used the low tech method of figuring mpg--pencil & paper. I then compared my results with the DD ProDriver & it matched to a tenth.

Attached is a photo of a rotary switch with a black knob which is above the light in the water pump bay. Does anyone know what the switch is for?

So, this morning while getting ready to dump and flush my black tank I was threading the hose I use for flushing from the spigot on the driver's side to the passenger side in between the fresh water tank and the black tank like I have always done for the 5 plus years I have owned our 1982 Newell. There are three plugs with wires coming out of them along the bottom of the black tank that connect to the Odor Control box. Many of you you who have Classic Newells know what I am talking about. These plugs are just caulked in place.....apparently. Well the end of the hose hit the middle one once to often and it popped out......imagine my surprise when 30 gallons of effluent began gushing out of the 1.25" diameter hole! I quickly pulled the dump valve to dump the tank and reduce the damage, but these holes are at the very, very bottom of the tank, and it didn't stop gushing out until the tank was empty.

Now I'm standing there mentally cancelling all the plans we had for the day, and wondering how we're going to get the black tank out so we can fix my booboo. There is no way to reach, or even work on the problem as there are only 3-4 inches of space in between the two tanks.

To make a long story much shorter Elaine suggested we remove the fresh water tank instead as there was much less to disconnect, and she was right. It took about 45 minutes to empty the fresh water tank which we did by turning off the city water, and using the water pump to empty it into the sewer. I didn't just want to dump the water on the grass around our coach as it would make it much harder removing the fresh water tank.

Amazingly, we had the 160 gallon fresh water tank out within an hour, and the plug replaced, and caulked into position. Now we just have to dry out the water bay....we had to use the hose to wash out the bay of all the sewage, which we did before we removed the fresh water tank. Once the tank was out Elaine was inside the water bay sanitizing everything with bleach.

I've turned on the electric water bay heater and keeping the temp up around 80 to cure the caulk and dry out the inside.....it is working quickly.

We'll leave the fresh water tank out for a few days while everything dries out, and the caulk cures. We can still use the shower, and sinks, but will have to walk a short distance to the park restroom for a couple of days. Once I'm sure the caulk has cured we'll fill up the black tank with fresh water, leave it under pressure of a full tank of water, and see if it holds.

guys one pic is of my water separator and one is of the gauge in the engine bay near the outlet. two questions:

how do I empty the separator as I assume I should?

how do I dial up the pressure on the outlet in the engine bay? assume its one of those dials ontop.
