We had a few leaks over the years and the ceiling started to sag over the couch in the Salon Slide Room.  I have (carefully) removed the ceiling and have recreated fully all the pieces that came out of the ceiling.  We found matching vinyl material for the pieces and am just about ready to reinstall everything.  Then my wife started looking at new coach pictures and noticed Newell, Foretravel and Prevost conversions all now have ‘flat’ ceilings - not several layers thick like ours are.  This would be MUCH simpler to create and I really like all the 2” or 3” LED lights in the ceiling (gets rid of the side lights at the table and over the couch).  I’m at a great point to really change the looks in the slideout - should I or will this be a slippery slope?
I will be producing a video (eventually) and pictures along with walking through how to R/R the ceiling panels and take apart the slide room upholstered panels… I am at the half-way point now and plan to be done within the month (we all know how our plans work out).  Happy Newell’ing!

Hello again, Been searching for front air tank drain cock on front entry 2006 would love to drain it. I believe my air bode air door cylinder keeps filling up with water. when I release emergency cable and open and close the door manually several times it seems to push the water out  and allows the door to function properly for a couple days then have to repeat the process over. Any thoughts?

So while pulling up the old carpet, I found this metal cover that is siliconed onto the step. Anyone see this before or what it's for? I don't want to cut the silicone to find out whatever is under it has some kind of release valve which will lead to the detonation of this bus...

So in my quest for remodelification of coach 312, I had a pretty disgusting Sealand Traveler toilet that I would like to replace with a new toilet. I am settling on the Rariton Elegance straight back tall toilet with wireless wall control. Am I facing any issues installing this or will it be basic straight forward?

Hello all,

We have been in the RV world since 2013. Primarily boating in the summer months and RVing at least part of the winter in warmer climates. Michigan in the Summer. We started with a 25' LTV Serenity Sprinter, which we thoroughly enjoyed both in the high quality build and convenience. After a few seasons we looked at reconfiguration however realized the best solution would be additional space. So we traded our Serenity for a Dynaquest 36XL which we are currently enjoying.
Stumbled on to this forum researching possibilities for more space (again), as we are considering spending 4-6 mos in a live-a-board. When considering the options we decided that if we go forward with this, the Newell would be on the very short list.
We appreciate the candor and experience and experience posted here.

Thankful to be able to enjoy life like this.
