Was ordering a Power Watchdog surge protector and noticed an ad that talked about integration with a product called RV Whisper. Looks like it will also integrate with my PressurePro TPMS as well. Just wondered if anyone else was using it and if so how you like it.
I wanted to pay a tribute to my son Scott. When we decided to create Newell Gurus in 2012, he was the one who set up the servers, did all the real technical work and has maintained and done so for the past 9 years. he is so far behind the scenes that most of you dont even know it. Scott is an Electrical Engineer with 2 masters degrees. A few gurus know scott and suggested that i post this about him on the forum and i am glad to do so.
Not only that, he is a husband to Shelby and father to our amazing grand daughter Ivy.
He is one of the brightest men i know and most of all he serves us in the United States Air Force.
Yesterday, Darlene and I were able to attend his promotion to Major ceremony in the USAF. Hearing him take the oath of office from his Colonel was incredibly inspiring and made us proud. I spent 6 years in the air force in my younger days and to see Scott do so well is so cool
He is behind the scenes fixing and monitoring our servers and software all the time. yea, i formatted the site and do the simple stuff along with our admins, but he is the real guy who takes care of things.
In all this world of craziness, it was nice to be in a room of patriots who love and value our country and freedom and help protect it.
Scott, I love and am proud of you..

I just got back from Oshkosh 2021, the largest airshow in the world and there were two Newells camping there! I wish there were three (mine included) but I roughed it in a tent.
So, not a single one of my Panel Post lights work...well maybe a few on the dash.
Question for the ones everywhere else, like near the steps, beside the bed, above the microwave... etc. What color are they supposed to be and has anyone simply replaced them with LED's??
I heard a rumor they are on all the time? Really? Do they shut off with the Master Lights switch?
Thanks!
After much head scratching and several calls to Rudy for his most excellent advice, I have managed to get my Aquahot working on Diesel! I now have heat and hot water! Truly incredible. I cam take a hot shower again.(Believe me.. you WANT me to shower!)
Next up is replacing some cooked wires and the 120V element so it will work on Electric as well.
I am pleased. very pleased. I love Newell Good News! We should have a topic for triumphs and wins.
Also, also, my red light above the aquahot diesel switch doesan;t work, but then again neither does the cyberdyne gauge. i wonder if they get power from the aquahot bay??
Temp sensor...located! Does it have one or two wires attached to it??
Thanks!
I need a little advice. I would like to do a pull down tv in our classic Newell. I am totally ignorant as to what is behind the "covered wagon" style ceiling in these early coaches. I am afraid that any exploration is non reversable. Has anyone done this, or pulled down the fabric, and made note of the approx dimensions of the runners?
Having resized my system, I have a Xantrex SW3012 charger / inverter for sale. It is in working order with no issues during my control. It is a Pure Sine Wave output rated at 3000W 120VAC with an input of 12VDC. A Xanbus system control panel is included as are all the manuals.
Asking $1,200.00 FOB Williamsport, OH 43164 Weight = 70lbs
howdy all,
been 9 years since we started newellgurus. what a ride it has been
thanks to all of you for being our old and new friends and for the advise and wisdom and friendship you so freely share

I own a 2009 coach 1274 now and was just at Newell getting some things done there. When talking to a tech about airing up to spec, I think it was 120 psi or so he suggested using a " multiplier" or something like that because the air produced by the coach really wouldn't get up to the needed pressure or would take a really long time.
Any advice on a device you hook up to the air system to bring your tires up to pressure from the coach air?
He showed me a small portable device he hooked up to any shop airline and used when working on the tires etc.
Thanks

Coach 1274
when i bought my coach 10 years ago, the ceiling trim that runs down the middle that is about 8 inches wide and flares out (goes from bedroom to entry) was broken. so i had a new one made with the same laminate i used in my bedroom and it is mounted to a piece of plexiglass.
it came down after all these years. i used standard contact cement like we used on making our bed for laminate on it.
i need to re attach it to the ceiling. what is the best product to use? needs to be something that grabs and holds instantly like contact cement as there is no way i could prop the whole thing up.
it is about 8 feet long.
any super wisdom here?
tom
