Coming soon to Newell, new Show Coach. https://www.newellcoach.com/default.asp?...wInventory
Two full baths, 2 Bunk Beds in hallway convert into closet.
He had enough air leaks in his 2015 Foretravel to cause his air compressor to cycle every 8 minutes. Replaced every plastic shut off valve with good quality metal ball valves, one cheap air dryer, one check valve and every push in fitting we could find with DOT compression fittings and now his pump only cycles a few times in 24 hrs.
A leak down tool saved the day as he had no leaks big enough for the ultrasonic leak detector to hear. Remember 25 small leaks add up to a big leak!
NOTE: all repairs were made without getting under the coach.
I need to under-extend the slide (thanks Tom for the article links) to do some work around the seal. The slide room worked perfectly this morning in both directions. I extended the slide room fully and then retracted it about 1/2 way so I could get to the limit switch to make the slide room under-extend. I removed the limit switch and attempted to retract the room. Nothing, nada... I can hear the pump running so I checked the fuses 85,86,87,90 as suggested in the Rosetta Stone of HWH diagrams. The fuses were good (tested with an ohm meter). I checked at the solenoids to make sure I was getting 12-volts to them - the unlock wire is energized when the retract or extend button is pushed (and the locks themselves are open/retracted). The extend and retract wires are not getting anything...
So I decided to jump the unlock wire to the retract solenoid just to check it but still nothing - a test light confirmed that there was 12-volts through the wire to the solenoid...
Any ideas?
BTW, does anyone have the diagram showing which solenoid does what? I can’t find it in the search... I think mine may be backwards now :-(
Thanks! Adrian
hi all,
i looked and didnt find another post about this so i thought i would share what i had and did.
my coach has not seen the road in a while. it stays inside my shop and stays cozy in there...
when bob was here with his 07, he graciously helped me put back together my grohe shower valve and filters. i had it apart and got new parts but with my bum knee and being the size of sasquatch, i just couldnt kneel or stoop in that small shower to get it back together.
after it was all back together i turned on the headhunter mach pump and no water. turn on the 12v backup pump and there was water.
i did the prime like headhunter says. no go.
so today i went out to play in the shop. i turned the pump on and went to the water bay where the pump is. it was buzzing and the pump was not spinning. after a couple of minutes it would shut off and flash the alarm red light on top of the pump. then it would cycle every few minutes doing the same thing.
i called headhunter and talked to a nice tech. he said there is a plastic plug in the end of the pump opposite the inflow plumbing. take it out with a flat screwdriver. it is plastic with an o ring. in my case the pump is facing such that i could not see the plug. fortunately a short stubby screwdriver would get it and i took it out. next he said inside the hole is the shaft that spins and it has a flat screwdriver slot on it. it should spin freely. i used a boroscope to see where the shaft was. i put the stubby screwdriver in and it was bound up. with some gently force, i was able to spin it back and forth until it was free.
i assume the sitting didnt help this thing.
i put the cap back in, turned the pump and and wallah......there is water.
he said if that didnt fix it, that it was likely a starter cap which is under the top panel of the pump.
later
tom

Hello,
We have flown to Pittsburgh, PA to check out the 2009 Newell p2000i coach #1274 and really need a RVIA Certified inspector with experience. Newell is backed up and cannot spare any tech to fly here, so they suggested posting a call out on this forum.
If any of you know someone with these qualifications in this area or someone with these qualifications who can fly to Pittsburgh to do the full inspection, please post or direct message me with the contact information ASAP.
Thank you!
when clarke and bob were here a few weeks ago. clarke outside and bob inside. and my 02 inside as well.
always fun to have guru visitors.

We are wintering in the Rio Grande Valley at Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort and saw coach 1472. No one was home as Winston and I walked by. Beautiful coach had to snap the attached picture.
