This forum has been the greatest resource I can imagine for owning a Newell. However, I have to admit I cannot figure out the search engine.  I posted two screenshots of my search inquiry and my return. None of the returns had anything to do with my search. Can anybody give me a hand and tell me what I am doing wrong…. Oh, and if someone wants to pipe up on the proper gear lube for the tag axles, that would be great too!

I made an arrangement with a fellow Wanderlodge owner to have my front clear shield removed. Sean Dixon is a painter and also removes clear bras from RVs. Sean does an amazing job and does it correctly, the paint on the front of the bus looks new. There are a few rock chips that got through the clear shield but overall the appearance is so much better. I would not just trust anyone to do this job, the Imron paint used on these coaches creates edges in the paint where the different colors are painted on, it’s all to easy for someone to accidentally peel the paint trying to remove the clear shield.

If you would like to have this done to your coach I would suggest contacting Sean, he and his wife travel the country doing work like this and paint work as well. He does incredible work.

Our Amana refrigerator has quit cooling on both the freezer and refrigerator sides.  We may try to have it repaired but will most likely just replace it.

The issue we're having with finding a new replacement is that our cut out is only 69 inches high and it seems most new refrigerators are between 70 and 72 inches tall.

We have a drawer under the frig cut out that holds cutting boards, sheet pans and such that I may be be able to modify in order to accommodate the taller refrigerators.

Has anyone had to lower the base where the refrigerator mounts in order to fit a taller model?

It doesn't look like it will be difficult but I could be wrong.

Thanks

I’m reworking the entertainment center and dash stereo in my coach and no longer need to switch between sources for the overhead speakers. I removed and rewired the three relays above the driver seat that switch between the receiver and dash head units for the speakers, but not sure what this last relay is for…. does anybody know?

I have been getting a lot of info from the forum and finally feel like I have an opportunity to give back. In my quest to fix everything wrong with my new to me Newell #639 , I talked to a tech at Silverleaf about options for replacing my burnt out VMS 200. He told me they are about to release a VMS 500 which is touchscreen and plugs right into the interface of the old 200 and it fits in the same opening as well, but has a larger color touch screen.  He is going to let me know when they are available. I will post when I find out. Unfortunately he had no pricing information.

Checked hydraulic pressure in rear tag and found I only had 50 psi on the hydraulic side and 50 psi on the nitrogen side, coach drove fine , would back up and the rear wheels turned the way they should, accumulator is probably original, 20 years old. Good chance bladder is ripped, I wonder if the best way is to remove the accumulator and turn it so the fill port is at the top, let it sit for a while so the nitrogen can make its way to the top and let nitrogen out, or do I let out oil at the junction block and hope nitrogen does not end up in the system
