Almost completely redone interior.  Mid-bath.

Went to fuel up the coach to find a problem with the Air Ride. There is an Air Leak under the left (driver's or street) side rear. I'm thinking that the problem could be with the Ride Height Valve since all was well when parked and I lower the coach when at storage. I'll be headed back in a couple days to troubleshoot with Patti's help.
I am thinking that I will lift and block the right side so that I can get under the coach. This should leave the problem side where it is when having the air leak. When in Ride Position the Air Leak is prevalent and bleeds that side down, I can send air to that area by going into Level Mode until it bleeds off any air available. I'll need Patti's help to turn the power on to recreate the leak. Also better to have someone there while I go under the coach at least while troubleshooting.
Could use some advice if anyone knows what Ride Height Valve & or Air Bag was used in the early 80's.

1976 Newell for sale, original paint with 90k original miles on body. Engine and transmission upgraded to 325hp 8.3 cummins inline 6 with md 3060 allison world transmission. Runs perfect. All belts, hoses, and batteries replaced. Just passed inspection. Complete new belly and sheet metal replaced. Extensive work was done to this coach mechanically. Interior and body is still original and needs restoration.
6500 onan gen runs nice and quiet.
 Over 35k invested. Will deliver anywhere.

Many of the 90s coaches have the old JetpaQ 110V water pumps(see picture).  This water pump has a pressure diaphragm similar to a pressure tank in a well system.  The pressure diaphragm is located within the stainless steel end.  The manual calls for checking the pressure within the pressure diaphragm every 6 months.

Since I have never checked mine I thought I would.  The pump is charged at the factory to 30psi.  This would give the pump a discharge rate of 43 psi.  A drop in pressure in the pressure diaphragm will drop your discharge pressure--for example dropping to 26psi, the discharge rate drops to 36 psi.  There is a normal tire type schrader valve on the stainless end of the pump.  Prior to checking the pressure shut off the pump and release all pressure by opening a faucet. I checked mine with a tire gauge and it was only 21.5 psi.  I increased it to 30 psi.  Remember this is a small pressure diaphragm so you will just need to put in a small amount of air.

Are there (or SHOULD) air filters on the A/C system for the basement airs?  I would think there would be a really dirty return air somewhere in the coach...

I posted a thread over in the Newbie section and got lots of great feedback. I'm glad I stopped lurking and jumped in!

I'm in the middle of a deal on a clean 70K mile '06 P2000i 4 slide, mid entry, with single rear bath. Any thoughts on a good price?

Also, anyone know the history or previous owners of #777? I know it was a single owner coach until 2012 and then it appears to have been sold again in mid 2014 and then possibly April of this year, and now again where it was supposedly traded on another Newell. I prefer to see long ownership history.

I call Newell and while they will tell me when it was last at the factory (2014), they won't give any history at all on it regarding updates, service, recalls, issues, etc. I find this pretty odd. Even if you own it they won't give you history.

If you call Marathon, they will tell you the history of a coach as long as you either own it, or have a contract to buy it. I was looking at one coach that had apparently been reskinned and had chronic slide issues. They weren't even hesitant to disclose that to me!

I attended FMCA Rally and heard about fire suppression set up for engine compartment.  Has anyone installed this system or do you have an opinion regarding its usefulness.
