There isn't much documentation on leveling procedures. #390 has the manual system and works just fine but I'm wondering about height when parked and leveled.
1) Lower it?
2) Raise it to the height so the step is comfortable?
3) Airbags inflated or deflated when parked for a few weeks at a time?
4) Does the 110VAC compressor keep the coach level when parked or do you have to start the main engine to activate the level system?
Thanks,
Bob

Will post a travel blog from time to time. Not OCD about it but occasional post from here and there FYI. Just click on the link below and it will take you there.
PS How do you rotate a picture in the gallery or must you do it before inserting somehow? Picture is on its side!

Guys my return air for my basement a/c units is under the entry steps. I need to replace filters. What is the best source for this filter material?

On my last trip my Aqua Hot would not stay on when on diesel, but work great on electric. This is one thing great about Newell coaches, there is always a back up. After I got home I checked and one of the 12 volt fuses was bad, so I changed it and it blew also. So I called Rudy and he said it could be several things but probably either the motor has frozen up or bad bearings. I will come up and check it out if you want me to, and I told him to come on up. My coach was in a storage building a couple of blocks from my house with a 50 amp. plug right inside the door and I had water, but no dump. He was welcome to park in the drive if he would like to. So yesterday afternoon he and Carolyn arrived and we went out to dinner and came back to the house and had a good visit. They are really a great couple and Rudy is extremely knowledgeable not only about Aqua Hot but about other things as well.
I went over about 8:30 this morning an Rudy had already had the Aqua Hot apart looking for the problem. Some time later he determined that it was the motor bearings, so they were replaced along with several other parts. I did ask him did he think we should go ahead and replace the motor since we in there. He told the motor is running fine, but if I wanted to replace it he would. Had two in the car. Cost $500.00, and told him as long as the old one is running, no way. Don't replace what it working.
The great thing about this whole ordeal is that Rudy knew what he was doing and had the parts he needed with him. No waiting for parts to come next week.

Well here I go again.. http://yuma.craigslist.org/rvs/4343984932.html
Actually thinking about it.. Spoke a while to the owner .. It scars me when they don't know much about the workings.. been for sale for a long while..
The waste tank was leaking..so they just pulled it out?
Interesting it seems to have a drivers door.. not seen that..

Anyway it would be a project for sure.. if the price was right..

Problem is .. it's a long way to just look..

Decided today I would change the filters. Air dryer filter wasn't too hard. Coolant filter was easy.
Hydraulic filter? Wish I knew the name of the monkey that tightened that one! Broke 1 strap wrench, bought another one and after spraying PB blaster on it put enough grunt on it to bust the filter. Right now I'm letting all of the fluid drain out before tackling it again. I didn't see any shutoff valves so is it right that all of the fluid will drain out of the hydraulic tank when you pull the filter?
What fluid should I refill it with?
Any suggestions for removing the filter? All the strap wrench did was kink it enough to make it leak. Big screwdriver?

Saw this over on WOG forum.
Pretty darn scary. What is unbelievable is it took 5 minutes for someone to come help the poor guy.

When I post, I have an extra line under my handle that says warning level. I have noticed that I seem to be the only one with a warning level. Now, admittedly some of you could truthfully say that I should come with a warning label.

But what's up with that?

When I brought the coach home last fall it was running cool on the interstate (140-160); seems like it needs a thermostat.
Now that the outside temperature is finally above freezing I'm able to do some work on it. I have a thermostat, but I can't seem to find where it goes.
Both upper radiator hoses and the lower have housings that don't seem to be the right size. Nothing else looks obvious either.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
We're leaving for spring break in 2 weeks, the pressure is on now.

Thanks

Scott
