When we were visiting Tom and Darlene last February Darlene made a few custom Newell patches for Elaine and I. Almost one year later we are putting them to use. The first one is now on my hat, and a second is going on a Nike windbreaker. Very, very cool......and I know ya'll are going to be jealous now, but Darlene might be talked into a few more.
And now the jacket.....

Well now, coach would not warm up this morning, so I discovered thet there was no heat coming from the Aqua Hot vents... The rinky dink heat exchanger's motor had frozen up. I checked on their site, and a new one only costs 529.00 for one that is made out of plastic. I guess I may as well bite the bullet, and replace the whole assembly. One of the blower wheels is broke, so by the time I buy a motor and fans, I should get the complete assembly. I hope my Newell stops causing headaches for me...

I thought this catalog might be helpful to anyone who is dealing with air leaks or wants to replumb something, like an air compressor.

My Tire Monitoring system died on me, and Newell told me that it would cost a fortune to repair it. They suggested that I get a system that uses the valve stem sending units. Could anyone steer me to a good reliable system?

It is finally time for use to get rid of the carpeting in our '82.. I would like to start with the staircase. There is a Vinyl or Rubber type sheeting that we have seen and I could use some advice on where to get it.
The sheeting also has a molded piece for the steps.
thanks in advance.

Gang,
I have had a recurring problem with my engine batteries and am hoping that you guys can figure it out.
In the two years since I have had the coach, I have had to put in three sets of engine batteries. (All replaced by Newell) Newell said that I needed a float charger (they installed). The batteries now have Powerpulse Battery Maintenance boxes installed as well.
The symptom is that when I stop the coach (engine off) and try to restart, sometimes it wont turn over and start. Newell tested the batteries and said they were bad. The tech told me that I should always leave the batteries merged, but I cannot believe that I should have to do that.
Now, I have a brand new set of Lifeline batteries and the same thing is happening. I just drove three hours and when I stopped, it would not start again. (I merged the engine batteries with house and was able to crank). The silverleaf says that I have 13.8V from the alternator.
So what will cause batteries to die? Or maybe its a bum starter? Could the merge relay cause this?

When we visited Steve and Suzy a couple of weeks ago, Steve pointed out the cornering lights on his coach. Since they are small, maybe I'm just not seeing them, but I haven't be able to spot any on any of the pictures of Classics I've seen. Are they there? If not, how difficult is it to add them?

Looking for a super quiet replacement for my Thomas front bay compressor. Any models and websites would be greatly appreciated. Only want a whisper quiet unit. Thanks

I rode my bike 40 miles up and on the other side of Gates Pass ouside Tucson, AZ and I saw green/pink Newell no slides looks like 98 or older with TX tags and nice green new Jeep, its sitting at teh J Rv park ousite of Gates Pass near Old Tucson Studios
