Just an FYI. The bridge over Blue Mesa Reservoir on Hwy 50 in Colorado west of Gunnison is CLOSED indefinitely due to damage found during an inspection yesterday. The only alternate routes are I-70 and Hwy 160.
my coach had a newell homegrown camera monitor. pictures below. it had stopped working.
ordered a voyager setup from rvcams.
found that the rear camera had 12v to it all the time. so for 22 years it had been powered on. the front monitor only comes on when the ignition is on and the monitor switch on the left drivers console is on.
so michael day is here visiting and we got the install started. ran new 12v switched power from the engine bay to the rear camera. and since i am moving the new lcd monitor to be overhead ran 12v power and video from the lower dash to the upper dash.
the same place the old monitor was is my car stereo, ac controls, hwh panel etc. so i will make a new panel to go in there and relocate the things to be easier to use. my ac controls were at my ankle which was strange.
trying to figure out what plastic to use to make a new dash panel. any suggestions? i will probably had it laser cut or cnc's along with a match thin aluminum panel to make it stronger. that thin woodgrain plastic cracked and broke.
will get the camera next week.

I’m currently planning to get new tires( Toyo M177 drive and tags) on the coach. I have an appointment set up for tomorrow afternoon. I asked what for date codes. The codes are 0923 thru 1323. My concern is these tires are already over a year old before they go on the coach. What are other thoughts on this?
there is a piece of the aluminum skin just above the middle of my front salon slide that has come loose. at some point the slide had caught on it. it is a piece about 10 inches long.
i do not want to rivet it. i can push it in easily without any memory that would make it look like it is rippled.
i can put my scissors lift up to it and use a piece of wood to push it flat once i get some adhesive in it. i know i will need to cover the seal and clean it up inside.
so....the question is what adhesive to use to hold it. i talked to newell and they said they use a 2 part expxy but didnt know what kind.
has anyone done it and have a great expoxy or adhesive to recommend?

Sent a request to Newell parts to see if they had the bushing for my coach and luckily they did. They sent them out asap.
Here are the vitals:
Newell part #705722 $91.66 each
Roadmaster part number #205207-10 (on the box they came in from Newell)
Quick search for these on the net comes back with very little info, so they may be difficult to get. Newell said they had 4 in stock when I purchased them and I bought all 4. I am going to make a mold of one of them so I can potentially make the bushings if need be.
Forgot to add this I found on the bushings when searching the Roadmaster part #
I think I came across the reason the moveable flush windows lose their seal and fog. Auto Glass Boss resealed all of my glass. A year later I had them clean up some sealant that had come out. It was mentioned that it looked like the windows that open were beginning to do the same thing. After some discussion I realized there are two problems. First, the sealant Hehr uses is inferior which affects the fixed as well as the moveable (opening) dual pane glass. Second is the long term problem even after it is repaired with a quality sealant. The foam that seals the moveable panels get pushed in and loses its resiliency. Then you have to really crank down to tighten the windows so they don't flap around while driving. That causes the outer glass pane to contact the rubber bushings and push the outer pane out from the inner pane thus pushing it away from the sealant. See my photo.
Does anybody have a working Dometic Duo Therm thermostat? One of mine went bad. Part number 3105356.004
Doesn't matter if it has heat option or not, my original heat system doesn't work and I don't plan to use it.
I would gladly replace the thermostat with a newer programmable one if there is a way to use one with the existing Dometic wiring but I have not found any cases of that being done with the search function.
Hi to everyone,
We met the last days several owners of Newell coaches and fall in love with them. Right now we own a Montana 3120RL 5th wheel with a RAM Pickup. The main reason why we consider to buy a Coach is our amount of travel and the luxury to travel with a coach. I'm a retired mechanical and electronic engineer.
Any good hints about available coaches are welcome. We are not in a hurry and can wait till the right one becomes available.
Feel free to contact me with any question you have. Till today I was able to help everybody and repair my own 5th wheel all the time including some unusual modifications.
Being on the road most of the time answer might take a while, please be patience
Andreas
I have a 2008 Newell coach #1230. What should the oil level read and what type of oil do you use for your generator? Going to be running it for 5 - 6 days and I want to make sure I don’t blow it up lol.
Thank you,
James Caylor
I wanted to take the coach out for a ride today but the rear brake needle shows 0. Dryer pops off as usual. Brake release will release when pushed but obviously rear wheels are locked. What is the next area to check? Check valve on rear tank? If so, I can't get to it without moving the coach forwards as it is parked over dirt. So frustrating. This has been sitting for a couple of months.
