After I extended the slides I had no inside lights on the front slide. It was a blown 20amp fuse. I replaced it and all the lights worked. However that night the fuse was blown again. I didn't use the lights during the day other than to check that they were working.
So I must have a short somewhere. Since it happened after the slide was extended I'm thinking it must be a pinched wire that feeds the slide.
Any idea where to start looking?

I decided to pull my front wheels and replace my bearings and seals. They were the old grease style caps and seal, I didnt realize how simple and cheap this upgrade was. IMHO a must do for these old classics.
Here are the part #s I used

Inner bearing set set 412 $43.50ea
Stemco seal 3828036 $31.95ea

Total $260.00

There has been a lot of discussion regarding batteries, and you may recall that I elected to install twelve 6 volt golf cart batteries. Last night I finally had a chance to see how well they worked. With the old 8D batteries, I could only run the minimum load while boondocking for 4 or 5 hours. Last night I left running the Directv, Amana, portable freezer, compressor and fans. I used 1/8 of my battery capacity in 8 hours. Then turned on the TV, stereo, lights and coffee maker for an additional two hours. At the end of 10 hours I had used 1/5 of my capacity. Obviously, I am pleased.

hi, do any of you have the part numbers for the hwh slide solenoids and check valves?

my manifold has 14 solenoids on it. 6 for each slide (both of mine are flat floor slides) and 2 for the genny compartment

my slide creep is either a check valve or solenoid valve. i am betting anyway

I'm about to charge mindlessly into the heating and defroster system in the front of my 93 coach and I have a couple question.

My heater barely keeps up when outdoor temps are in the high 40's. Assuming other similar coaches have similar heater systems, has anyone traveled in colder temps and survived? I'm trying to assess if the system is operating correctly but is inadequately sized or if it is just not functioning properly.

Question 2; where is the modulating valve that controls the flow rate of coolant to the heater core? It is operated by wire from the lever on the dash panel.

Any insight is gratefully accepted.
