Tom,
Now you are definitely on one of our itineraries!
finally today they started bringing in dirt. here are a few pictures from earlier in the day. i think today they brought about 10-12 dump trucks worth. about 1/4 or so of what is to come.

it is starting to feel real now. although when i look at how high they are going to make the pad i wonder if i will have to get a bus elevator to get inside it. ha

i will keep a picture dialogue as it goes.

the critter was trying its best to get away from the trucks.

tom
Oughta be well packed down when they're through hauling dirt.
it is pretty hard on the ground already

we had some hard rains last nite so i was concerned it would be muddy but the ground soaked it up quickly

tom
Did you get to drive one of the trucks?
naw.....somehow i dont think he is going to let me either

something kinda risk averse with these licensed and bonded contractors....

tom
hey, today we have a FEL with gannon, water truck and more dirt and actualy movement of dirt.

the exhaust fell off his water truck so i supplied him with some stuff to fix it.

tom
day 3 of grading and building the pad. this shot shows what 25-30 ten yard dump trucks of dirt looks like spread around. and another 10-20 to go.

the front part needed to be raised 20" for the pad and going down to 10" at the back where the ground was higher. then ten more inches on top of that for concrete and abc rock.

it is finally starting to look like a building pad

i felt bad for the guys. it has been 110 plus the last few days and in the afternoon that sun was brutal beating down on the guys.

tom
if you guys get bored with my update....let me know to slow down on them.

tom
Naw, not bored. In fact I was thinking of sending you a whip so you can tighten up the gorilla!
