Cindy, sorry to hear that Forest is such a "Beast".
Patti and I did the same thing over 20 years ago when we moved aboard our boat. We never looked back. She just gave the kids things to the kids.
One of the best memories was when we burned the bed (bed frame that is) at San Onofre State Beach during our weekly "Surf Night". Allot of good memories traveling made up for it.
steve, are you the one who started burning man then? did it start with a bed?

tom
But it was one "sacrifice" that catapulted us into that life. Now we have this new life.
We are no longer in Campbellsville, KY (I won't have to spell that anymore). We arrived in Rossville, GA (228 miles south of our previous position) at 7pm tonight. Tomorrow we are getting the coach serviced at Choo Choo Express Garage. They come very highly recommended to us as people who know 2 stroke Detroit Diesels. Friday we continue south to Cedar Key, FL. Snowed most of the way here, but it is dry where we are....Travel-L-Park.....33 degrees outside.....we opted for plug ins tonight.
Got an unexpected text this morning from Richard Entriken....he was 15 miles away and wanted to know if we were up for a short visit.......heck yes! Just got done spending an hour, or so with Richard, and visiting with Joel over at Choo Choo. We are delayed one day getting in as there is a 45' Prevost sitting over the pit waiting for an air bag to be delivered later today, so we will stay put here at Trav-L-Park until tomorrow when we move the 2 blocks over.....we can walk there in 3 minutes....it's about the length of a football field as the crow flies to the shop from where we sit. It is about 33 degrees at almost 11am, but no precipitation....so far.

Life is good......
Richard made a wrong turn??? or just in the hood?
No wrong turns.....visiting the in-laws about 15 miles from here.....it was great to see him!
We were able to move our coach over to Choo Choo Express Garage Friday morning about 9am, and Joel did his safety inspection of our running gear, and brakes. The brake linings have about 60% left on them, and the running gear (air bags, front end steering gear, etc.) is all in great shape. He tightened up the linkage on the left Pittman arm, and then lubed everything thoroughly. Glad we caught the linkage issue early, as if it continued to loosen the consequences could have been very expensive. Joel couldn't believe the transmission fluid was over 5 years old....he said it looked and smelled brand new. He changed the tranny filter, oil filter, and fuel filters, and then replaced the oil. We have switched over to Delo 400 from Rotella T. We were over the "pit" for about 3.5 hours.....we were charged for 3 hours of labor at $55/hour, and for materials....total bill...$422.30! I had budgeted $1500, so it feels like someone just handed me $1100!

We left Choo Choo around 1pm Friday and drove 190 miles down to Macon, GA (no stops whatsoever Tom!) overnighting at the Walmart on Zebulon Road just off I-75....a very nice, safe Walmart that we have stayed at before. Saturday we drove the final 303 miles to Cedar Key where we will spend the next month.
Last sunset of 2012 in Cedar Key, FL....the glass like water perfectly reflected the sunset.
I like that Clarke. Very pretty.
