So I had a Southco latch break on one of my bay doors. Instead of hunting around I hit what recently has been feeling like the Easy Button and shot an email over to Cambri in parts to see if they had such latch in stock and just for fun I said "what are the odds you could paint it". About 5 days later I had a perfectly painted latch show up on my door for a whopping $37. On top of that she has truly been ON IT for all of my parts needs since she took over for Morgan.
I've searched and can't find the weight of the 20kw generator, doe's anyone know how much it weighs?
Does anyone know the weight limit on the hitches Newell was installing in 2008 coaches? (I am not referring to the tow bar)
Thanks,
Dan
We just had new 365s put on at a local shop and have taken the coach on a 2 hour cruise to Nashville this past weekend. While droning down the highway at about 60mph it feels like we are hitting bumps about every 10th of a second. Almost like the tire is out of round… it does smooth out sometimes and the tracking is pretty straight. The shop did manage to steal my EezTire transponders (or whatever the tire mounted air pressure/temp thingies are called) - so I pulled the two from the tags and put them on the front. The tire pressures were at 115 and 125 but will check the cold this morning to be sure… I have always run them at 100 even and it rode very well and the tires lasted 8 years with no problems (other than having an uneven wear pattern on the outside of the passenger tire). We are planning a much longer (10 hours) trip next weekend to TX and would like to not ruin the new tires I just had installed… any ideas? I do probably need to get new tie rod ends but not sure that would cause something like this.
I've washed the green plastic ac filters a couple of times and each time they stretch slightly and fit a little worse. They also drop a lot of fibers and make a big mess. So I started looking for replacement filters that would fit. I found a few places that will make custom size filters. I ended up ordering 6 pleated paper filters from Filterbuy.com for 98.20 including S/H. They can make about any size in 1/8" increments.
I ordered 9.875" x 15.5" x 1" filters. They fit very snug and I had to crinkle the cardboard frame slightly to get them to fit. I will order slightly smaller next time 9.75" x 15.375" and then use some adhesive backed foam tape on the edges as needed for a tight fit.
The Dometics are made for 7/16" thick filters. You can't get the paper filters in that thickness. 1" is the thinnest you can get. However if you get a snug fit they will stay in. I had to remove the two swivel tabs on each Dometic as the shorts bolts holding them on protruded into the filter frame area almost a 1/4" each.
Should you need new filters but don't want paper ones they also make custom sized washable metal ones which are the original 7/16" thickness and will work with the filter tabs. However you will need to shorten the length dimension by 3/8" or maybe 1/2" to clear bolts which hold the swivel tabs in place. You will want to leave these tabs in place as they are what will hold the metal filter in place.
I attached a pic of the old green filter media, the new paper filter and I shot of the Dometic unit where the filter fits.
Howdy all,
I have a couple three fixtures that are brittle and need replaced. After much trial and error, I've finally found led bulbs I like but several fixtures need replaced
I've read thru old posts but am having no luck finding currently available parts. Does anyone have any puck light fixtures they are willing to part with, or know of a current supplier or have a suitable fixture that was used to replace the Hafeles that could be recommended?
Thanks in advance for your help
Life is too short, enjoy every minute, right? After years of building business, we are ready to travel! And what better way than in a luxury coach!
Would it be wiser to purchase a 2012-2015 Newell Coach, or a newer 2022 Foretravel? I’m not familiar with maintenance issues that can arise with an older (2012-15) Newell. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
