My automatic power transfer switch failed earlier this year. One of the injuries was the dishwasher.
I went to the dealer I purchased it from and spoke with their well respected parts counter person. She recommended I replace the power controller, MOD WASH Controller, and the knock sensor to the tune of $350-$400. Her lead times were about 3 weeks. Then told me I should replace the entire dishwasher because after something like this there will be phantom failures. That would be at least $1,000.

I read the reviews of the power controller board on a site that sold parts many F&P replacement parts. One person mentioned they had a power event like mine and replacing just this board fixed it. So I ordered the board for $179 plus tax and had it in a couple of days. The install was easy after I realized I had to retract the sliders before attaching the front panel back on.

Hello All,
My Wife Lisa and I just purchased coach #385 a 1995 Newell NO slide coach.  We just cannot believe how well made the coach is, and how well it has been taken care of.  Yes it is 28 years old, but the interior is still in great shape for something that has bounced down the road for 150K miles.  The engine purrs like a kitten and I love when the Jake brake kicks in when slowing the coach down.  (Ladies its a guy thing)  I bought it in KY, about 800 mile from home, the first day was an experience.  The steering and air brakes are a lot different then a 2019 GMC Yukon Denali.  By day 3 I was allowing myself to sit back in the helm chair a little.  Made it home relatively safely with only a cracked windshield.  Please do not ask how this happened as I would not like to relive the experience.  Maybe in a few months at a Newell meet with a cold beer in my hand. The big issue I have currently is 2 of my basement airs are down. It really is the weakest link of this vintage rig.

We purchased coach 392 in May, and then brought to Colorado Motor Coach the end of June. Since then they’ve done extensive upgrades. The most visible is a wonderful new paint job, restoring it to its original beauty. The list of upgrades and maintenance was two pages. Mainly dealing with the water system and installing two new MaxAir fans. The exterior looks new, with the paint, a new eclipse awning, all new exterior lights, and a starlink mount. Rob and Chris did an amazing job! Can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re anywhere in the area of Colorado Springs, and need help, or upgrades, he is definitely the one he want to call.      [attachment=12272         ]

Next year we will be remodeling  the interior.

I will have 2 of these for someone shortly, I am replacing the fans with 12v PWM speed controlled units, both fans work one makes a noise. The covers are in good condition, I will be using the solar panels to cover the new fans.

Looks like I will be replacing airbags on 316. Newell has them priced at $750/ each. I’m wondering if any Gurus have found a better price? The part # they gave me is 16226.

This is located in the 3rd bay back mounted up on the top I beleive it has something to do with the hwh system. Can this cause my bus to sometimes lean to the left when airring up ??

Ang what do these do. ? I noticed there is a buddy plug on the rear of the bus, but why would they have 2 30 amp recepticals in this location. I have not been able to track down where the one plug goes to yet. Thanks

Hi, a member called me about a VMSpc kit a couple weeks ago. I have what he was looking for but misplaced the contact info. Please call me back.

If you have a VMSpc question please give me a call. I was Silverleaf’s only vertically integrated kit supplier. These were ready-to-use, plug-and-play kits. Everything was ready to use right out of the box.

Silverleaf cannot get chips for their data interface boxes (the JIB) so components are hard to come by. But I can help if you have functionality questions, screen designs and more.
