Taking the coach to a shop for some work today, and at a long red light (in the left turn lane) I set the parking brake so I could stand up for a moment. I sat back down, disabled the parking brake and tried to put it in drive and it wouldn't engage.
It took a few minutes, but with help from Newell on the phone we discovered the driver side front slide was not secure and would not operate. Newell instructed me to flick the switch under the left side armrest to over-ride the slide safety so I could get out of the intersection, and away I went.
I got to the shop just a few miles further and discovered the sensor in the Generator's radiator bay not lit. It also wasn't exactly aligned (see pic). I reached in to see if it was loose and it instantly lit. Now I cannot tell if it is just borderline because it is not aligned or if there is a bad connection where the wire enters the sensor.
Anyone have any thoughts based on the picture?
Is this something I should re-align myself? If so, how do I make sure the pin is in the correct location before re-aligning the sensor?
Thanks in advance.

Any suggestions on where to auction a classic coach. eBay seems like the best option but was hoping for other suggestions.
Hi all,
I want to update the original tank monitoring system in my 2004 to a SeeLevel II. Placing the sensors is easy enough, and even wiring to the tankage bay should be very straight forward.
What I don't know is an easy way to wire the new panel in the upstairs galley.
Can I re-purpose some of the old/original system's wires for the SeeLevell II?
If so, which ones?
Does anyone have a pin-out for the original system's circuit board?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Gurus,
Well, I have completed all of my goals relating to my Newell ownership. Last night was my first night staying in my new home in Fairhope, Alabama and it occurs to me its time to let my Newell Coach go, as I will be focusing on rebuilding the homes gardens and orchard and settling into a new community.
The coach has provided a fabulous living environment in my travels throughout the US and Canada over the past 4 years , and has been lovingly cared for with many upgrades and regular visits to Newell for service and upgrades.
Some of the features of the coach is Production year 2008, 4 slide, single bath with Cat C15 ACERT MXS engine produced in 2006 so no DEF or Regenerator. the transmission is the ZF 12 speed. Upgrades to the coach include EZ steer column, Centrifugal oil filter (0.1 micron filtration) complete intake air upgrade YouTube videos part 1,2,3 starting here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLK-PPd5c0Y New fabric in Dinette, LED lighting, new marker lights, tank valves, door actuator rebuild, stair cover rebuild, Bluefire monitor, rebuilt satellite antenna, new tank sensors, 12VDC/120VAC refrigerator/freezer in basement, R.O. water filter with High Pressure Boost Pump, Roof Paint refresh, tremendous storage space from the expanded pantry, larger bathroom layout and additional storage space. many spare parts.
I will also include a trip to Newell to check off the few small repair items I have accumulated on my list, replace the drive and front tires which are just about to age out. The tags were done last year and tune up the engine and systems.
Coach is in great shape and available to be seen in Fairhope, Alabama for the next few weeks. Asking $385K Call me at 602-722-2994 or email [email protected]
Lots of Photos more if you need to see something specific or just go to the Gurus Gallery under 1223

MOT had new tires installed when I bought the coach. The tire shop ended up installing the tag wheels on the steers and vice versa. The TPMS has been alarming constantly due to the SmarTire wheel sensors being in the wrong positions with different pressures. I finally was able to acquire the Bendix program so I plugged my Cummins Inline 6 into the Smartwave port (beside the J1939 port) and was able to change wheel positions on the SmarTire computer.
My TPMS alarms are gone at last.
Had the rear AC stop working, the coach has the 4 roof top A/C units all controlled by the thermostat in the kitchen.
- I checked the capacitor and it is good
- the fan still runs
- the compressor kicks in for 5 seconds or so and is back off
- the compressor is warm to the touch
- the lines from the compressor are not cold
- the unit looks original from 2005
- Would this unit work as a replacement? Dometic Brisk II RV Air Conditioner 13,500 BTU - White B57915.XX1C0

I don't like having just one thermostat in the kitchen as we like it real cold in the bedroom and warm in the coach. My preference would be a thermostat in the bedroom, any ideas of someone that has been down this road before. Thanks!!
On my 2005 Newell with dual air compressors pumps, I found yesterday that I had no pressure to open the door. In tracing the issue the compressors were not running. I have done the following and am not sure where to look next.
- confirmed that I have power to the #1 #2 switch box
- confirmed the 2 fuses in the valid control box are good
- confirmed that there is no power to both pumps
- found the (clear) filter bowl full of water and drained it
- checked the fuses and circuit breakers, all good
- checked the GFI's and had to reset the one in the kitchen
I have finally finished the new, between the new recliners, fireplace cabinet. It perfectly matches the laminate in the rest of the coach and the solid surface top is color matched to match the rest of the coaches counter tops, tables, etc. Even has the Black trim embedded in the surface.
The fireplace is a small, hard to find one (believe me, it took forever to locate) but fits nicely and looks great. Of course it's also a heater if needed.
I am mounting it to the wall with two largish screws into the 5/8th ply of the wall. It sits on the floor, so I believe it should be fine. If not, I will remove, run a bead of silicone underneath and reattach to the wall.
Thanks for looking!
