I'm sure this has been discussed but I think I want to replace front wheel bearings and seals, changing up to the oil seals.
Are the bolt patterns the same for the oil reservoir type caps??
Any other pitfalls to watch for?
Someone have the part # for the seal?
Its time to pack bearings so good time to swap (maybe)

Getting ready to purchase a tow bar, vehicle tow bracket, and accessories to tow my 2015 Subaru Forester.  Will be using an M & G brake system.

My question is will the height of the receiver hitch on the Newell line up ok with the height of the connection points on the Subie?  I know the Newell's and the towed vehicles heights vary, but hearing others experiences and setups will be interesting.

I ask because the Demco Excalibar tow bar is adjustable up and down and the others aren't w/o a receiver hitch raise/lower adapter if a height adjustment is needed.  And the Demco only adjust up and down 1.5 inches which may not be enough anyway.

I'm looking at the 10,000 lb plus rated tow bars which is overkill for the Subie but gives me the flexibility to tow a heavier vehicle in the future.

So I was taking the classic south for leid Diesel to perform pm work on the motor in PA. & Started the coach on a 45 degree day. Fluids were all good when i started her however she ran on 3 or 4 cylinders for 30 seconds then came into it. I idled her for about 20 minutes and shut her down. Went back yesterday and she wouldn't turn over. checked radiator sight and was low.....took 9 gallons/oil was contaminated....better in my driveway than on vacation I guess....
Need to tow her but she is nose in  how do I air up suspension and turn off brakes? 
Does the engine slide out on rails like a bus? (1983)
Leid can do a reman silvertop and it seems like a good time to move to a 6 speed allision which they have in stock....

Just need to find a shop who can do the swap in Nh or southern/Western Maine

Nice coach. Saw it a couple of days ago. The current owner bought it from the Ganassi team a year ago. He uses it to go to races. He decided he dosen't use it enough so its for sale. It was up for sale at the summer Mecum auction in Kissimmee, but did not sell at a top bid of $175k. Here is a link to the Mecum site. They will make a great great deal on commission.

Today was a ruff day.   I was making a leisurely three hour cruise to Bella Terra RV resort when I encountered an electrical problem.  (That is for a different thread). I made it to the resort but am now wondering what to do next.  

While I was paying close attention to the engine due to the electrical issue....I noticed a high pitched whining coming from the engine.   The pitch of the noise varies with the RPM of the engine.    I might be imagining this but it seemed to go away when decelerating.  The source of the noise was the driver’s side of the engine.

My best guess is that it is a turbo getting ready to fail.   So I have some questions.

1 - Have you ever had a turbo fail?  What are the symptoms?   
2 - If the turbo fails completely, will it stop or harm the engine? 
3 - Is there a test that I can do to identify the turbo?
4 - Are there other explanations for a whining noise that varies with RPM?

I have an AHE-120-04X.  The Diesel side runs intermittently, electric side always works.  I carry a spare control box and have installed the new spare with the same results.  I can hear clicking which sounds like relays (might be the fuel solenoid) opening and closing but the burner does not start.  If I very lightly tap either control box the motor starts and the burner lights. It may go through 10-15 cycles then fail to light, tap and it works.  Hesitant to declare both control boxes bad as the spare is new.  Does anyone have any ideas?
