I need to tighten v belt, thinking I could get to it from opposite bay- plastic wall about 8- 10 feet long riveted. even if I drillm out rivets there maybe a metal firewall. how does one tighten belt or even replace alternator/water pump?
The existing water heater is the one with the heat exchanger in it. Thinking to put a regular hot water heater n bypass the exchanger.
I'm curious what other people have been doing... with regards to up this age of coach and these water heaters.
If I take if I disconnect the heat exchanger hoses from the hot water heater. Am I gonna get coolant everywhere. Or is drained back in the coolant tank?
How much do I need to manage that
Hello Gurus! My wife and I are considering purchasing a 2004 Newell Coach in Wichita, KS but would like to have a full inspection before proceeding. It has 12 year old tires, so we are very hesitant to test drive it, let alone take it to Miami, OK for full service. Can anyone suggest A qualified individual/business near Wichita who could to do a thorough on-site inspection?
Thanks for any suggestions or recommendations!

Fuel level says 60 gallon. Drove several miles from my house, stopped on a 5 degree hill pointed down. Coach ran when I put in several ounces into davco filter then quit. Any thoughts if pickup tube is uncovered from the slope? Seems odd you can't drive with 60 gallons. Any suggestions welcome.
So as I literally sit here considering removing all the Air Pneumatic systems from the coach  :D , I want to ask their some sort of undersrandable fix for this?
Both pressure gauges and the rear of the coach show 40 and 60 psi regularly.. the pumps appear to all be on but I admit, i've never heard them actually running nor fully understand exactly where they are located... 1 appears under the outdoor faucet.
Thought there was another...
We are on shore power currently
This outside freezer door for example pops open a little bit, and then it takes the next twenty minutes to actually fully open.
I'm not sure if it's a tank not fully pressurizing or pump not coming on when it needs to.
Taking all advices.
Thanks in advance.
Ron
We recently purchased Coach #365. Thanks to prior caretakers Matt, Larry and Mr S. and thier families for all the work done maintaining her all these years, still strong at 30 for any vehicle is saying something.
My son and I travel full time usually in tandem with a group of other "fulltime families" .....Anyway we'll be bringing her out of a bit of hibernation. Into regular weekly use, so trying to button up and tidy up all the systems and we've got tons of questions coming. We also hope to help others looking at 90s generation coaches both here and on socials, because if you look at my bio, you know, that's where we've been living.
Seriously stuck in the 90's lol.

We'd love to see anybody's comments, posts or pictures they've gathered or had of this rig when it's been out and about over the years. Thanks in advance.
We'd love to create a bit of a historical timeline, to help tell the story about this coachs past lives.

Have a great week.
Ron
My passenger side waste tank dump has a small leak on the bottom of the fitting where it connects to the tank. I called Newell and they said this bulk head fitting is spun welded and they remove the tank to make these kind of repairs. While I’m not opposed to that, if it ultimately becomes necessary, I’d like to try some kind of two part epoxy fix, first. The leak is very small and only drips when there is over a 1/2 tank of head pressure. The leak is definitely on the bottom of the fitting. The entire fitting is dry, except on the bottom. Has anybody had any kind of luck with any specific type of epoxy or putty?
Thx!
Gregg

Water damage on floor in passenger slide at corner if facing on right side. Also water damage on galley floor adjacent to the damage on the slide floor. Don't know if windows are leaking above damage or may be caused by slide seal leak if possible. Or leaking elsewhere and ending where floor is wet and rotting. Removed carpet to install ceramic wood like flooring. any suggestion where the water is leaking in will be appreciated or any remedies suggested. Thank you
For those of you who were fortunate enough to know Larry he passed away in April. This is a facebook link to his friend Richard Kolodney who just posted of his passing: https://www.facebook.com/richard.kolodny...aT3XbRxbnl
Edit: this thread will document the trials (and many errors) in the continuing saga of sealing up, cleaning, repairing and converting the SCS Basement Air Conditioners to 24-volts so that my dogs can be happy inside while we are away during the heat/cold of the day…
Problem: I put a hole in the ac condenser coil which is aluminum… bright it to a local welder and they say the hole is too close to the end to fix :-(
Where can I source a new condenser please?
I hope I am calling it the right thing - it’s the big radiator looking thing on the outside of the ac unit…
TIA!!!
