After setting a while, when selecting either the salon slide or bedroom slide to open or close I hear the hydraulic motor run with no movement in the desired direction.  If I keep the switch pressed and run the system for several minutes the slide then moves with no issues. Can't tell if the locks release immediately or just before the room moves.  For sure, on extending the salon, when the sequence commands the floor to come up it does not come up level for 30 to 40 seconds.....all the while I have the switch pressed to extend.  It seems to me the fluid in the lines have drained back to the tank. The pump running then recharges the lines. Is there a check valve that keeps the lines pre-charged with fluid that is common to all the hydraulic circuits of the system?

this coach i know well because it is mine.  i am trying to no longer be in the two newell club.  

i am having steve at arizona luxury coach sell it for me.  he is a class act and has an indoor air conditioned showroom.  

i did a lot of things to it to make sure it was in nice selling condition.  low mileage and low genny hours.  

have a look and contact steve for more info.  for anyone serious about it i will be glad to answer questions about it privately.  

i have a contract with him so am not selling it outside of him.  i have found i am a great coach buyer and not so great at selling.  i just want to keep everyone that i have had.  darlene says our 02 is enough and i dont need two of them.  go figure.....

We were at the Newell factory in Miami Monday through Thursday. They got our slide out air bag replaced along with a few other items. Work went well but very hands off experience. The only area you are allowed in is the customer lounge. Disappointing for our first time there. We will have to go back at a later time after this corona crap is over. That will probably be another multi thousand $$$ check then too. Lol.

We discovered something surprising about our plumbing yesterday. We have owned this 84 Classic coach for a year but had only used it a few times prior to the past month. We started boondocking a few days ago. We noticed that our shower was not draining and water from the kitchen sink seemed to be coming up through the shower drain. After several attempts to clear the shower drain we decided to carefully inspect the plumbing in the water bay. We have only two tanks, which we realized before we bought the coach. We have a fresh water tank and what we thought was a combo black/grey tank. Nope! The grey water from the shower and sinks never goes into a tank. It simply goes over to a discharge/drain paddle valve and backs up in the closed pipe until it comes up through the shower drain. The toilet discharges directly into the second (black) tank but nothing else goes into it. I suddenly realized the importance of what the previous owner told me when she said they never boondocked when traveling. They always stayed where they had full hookups. No need for a grey tank if you are always hooked up when you run the shower or wash dishes. Never boondocking also helps explain why we have a lot of stuff that runs on 120 voltage such as our water pumps, water heater and our Norcold freezer/frig. This rig is optimized for RV park station to station life, not for boondocking. Changes must be made to give us the flexibility we want.

Clarke and I recently replaced the alternator on my 84 Classic  (6V92 DD) at Tom's place. (Will post more about that later.) Since then the speedometer and the odometer quit working properly. The speedo needle vacillates around 15 to 20 mph around the actual speed and the Odometer has quit moving at all. Is there ANY possible connection between the gear driven alternator and the odometer and/or the speedometer? It is a rebuilt Leece alternator.

Has anyone updated their Brewmaster coffeemaker to accept K-Cups? Experiences?

Hello.  Thanks for letting us be part of the group.  We own #669 & #1438.  #669 will be going to a relative so we can "keep it in the family".  We purchased #669 in the spring of 2017 and decided it's time to move-up in the Newell world.  As most of you know, there is no comparison between Newell & any other motorcoach.  We previously owned a Bluebird & a Country Coach but once we got a Newell, there's no looking-back.  Once you've had a Newell, no other motorhome will do.   We're the 2nd owner of #669; our relative will be the 3rd owner.  #1438 was designed after show coach #1294 and had 1 owner prior to us.   Being part of the Newell family is an honor & it's really fun to see other Newells while traveling.  We started keeping a list but lost track.  Found a great website on pinterest where a guy keeps track of each Newell he sees & posts pics.  It's really fun.  Newell is a great company.  We enjoy our relationships with Newell employees and other owners we encounter.  Maybe we'll see you on the road.

Hello fellow gurus... it is with a heavy heart that I must offer coach #599 for sale just months after we purchased it due to the sudden death of my fiance'. Not much has changed since we purchased it in November from Bryan.  There are 4 new tires on the back and I chose to replace the AH motor.
