I was looking for a somewhat rare car and found one that sounded good in the Birmingham, AL area.  I was able to call a Guru friend in Birmingham who agreed to go look at the car in person.  He provided me with a hands on evaluation and numerous photos.  All of this was done on a freezing cold day.

A very special thank you to Bill Johnson--Guru Bikestuff.

Did a quick check and didn't see this one on here.  If it's old news, just delete the thread.

Drove the bus 2500 miles in Oct/Nov with no issues. Went to move it into shop from canopy and it wouldn't shift into reverse. Shifted down into 1st. wouldn't come back. Shifted it by hand and backed it around and into shop. Shifts thru all gears from R thru 1 but wont go back towards N or R. Stone Bennett shifter. Switch is fine or seems to work as power to both sides on demand. Ideas??  Thanks, Mark

I am glad to announce that the plans for the 2020 No Rally Rally have been finalized.  The 6th Annual No Rally Rally will be held on May 4th through May 10th, 2020.  The rally will be at a new location---Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort. The new location is just 5 miles south of our prior rally location.  We will receive a reduced rally rate of $46 a night + tax.  We have 25 sites blacked out for the rally that are together.  There are 8 pull in lakefront sites and 17 very long pull thru sites.  We also have their clubhouse reserved for our exclusive use.  The clubhouse has a large meeting room with tables and chairs and a kitchen.  This is a full service resort with 2 swimming pools, spa and fenced dog park.  The resort has a 12 year age limit that has been waived for all rally attendees!

Each attendee is responsible to reserve the site of their choice.  Suzy & I will be in site #11.  Reservations can be made with any resort desk person.  Just advise them that you are attending the Newell No Rally Rally.  Reservations can be made at 844-707-4343.  The resort is located at 22800 Canal Street, Orange Beach, AL.

http://pandionridge.com/?utm_source=camp...m=referral

Any & all are welcome to join us.  There is no cost for the rally, but you are responsible to book and pay for your site.  For those of you that have not joined us at before,  the No Rally Rally is an opportunity for Newell owners to socialize with other Newell owners in the S/E part of the country.

This rally has no connection nor receives any support from Newell.  There are no Newell technicians at the rally to make repairs.  This rally is also not the "official Guru Rally".  We are just a group of Newell owners who enjoy meeting together, "talking Newell" and following the Guru motto of "friends helping friends".  Our focus is providing knowledge and experience that will allow an owner to properly maintain his/her coach.

The resort is just a short drive to beautiful white sand beaches.  Lots of good restaurants & shopping to meet any one's taste.  During this period the area has a balloon fest, Art in the Park and a music festival on the beach.  It is only a 1/2 hour drive to Florida.  The Blue Angels put on exhibitions twice a week in Pensacola--free.

Don't miss out on the fun and meeting new Newell friends and old Newell friends too.  Don't forget that our SOB(some other brand) friends are welcome too!

For anyone who wants to spend more time in the area, Suzy and I will be at the Bella Terra RV Resort and invite anyone to join us prior to and/or after the rally.  We will be in site #101---601 Sereno Street.

Hope to see you there...........................................

Looking for a cockpit table, the small heavy based movable table, that fits between Driver and Passenger seats.
For some reason the 2006 we recently purchased does not have one.
As there is no where in this type of cockpit to set ANYTHING,
Does anyone have one they don’t use or would like to sell and get out of your way?

Having done research over several months and narrowing down the candidates to Newell, Foretravel, Prevost and possibly Bluebird, one thing stands out is the time it takes for some coaches to sell. I have found threads and ads where the unit has been on the market for over 2 years with several price drops. As we all know it takes a willing buyer and willing seller to arrive at a price acceptable to each. Seems if the price is right, it will move faster.

The only conclusion I can come to is that the sellers are overpricing their coaches. Is the market so narrow that the pool of buyers for these types of coaches is so small that it takes so long to find a buyer? For clarification, coaches priced at $250k and less is where I am looking.

This is a concern from the perspective of selling the unit later on. With more miles and added years, I am sure the market narrows further. In short, with the engineering and craftsmanship being what it is, why don't these coaches sell faster? Does the average buyer not consider them as viable candidates and is drawn to newer units for various other reasons? Your comments are appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello,
Looking at the specs on this battery....https://oceanplanetenergy.com/advanced-energy-storage-systems/firefly-energys-oasis-group-31/.

From the marketing data they present the battery looks like an option for house batteries.  Has anyone had any experience with this manufacture?

Thanks
Steve
