Saw a 96? or so gray 45' towing a black Jeep heading south of Polson, MT today on Hwy 93. I was in my '06 Monaco white/green heading north.
Anybody here?

My contactors are failing but I believe I found replacements. I can’t tell if the coil on these is 12v or 120v. Any insight? I’m camped out at a former neighbors yard in Mesa AZ. No shore power or hookups. The suns heat is on and if this completely fails, I will lose AC since the generator won’t pass power to the circuits. Does anyone know of the coils are 120v for this era? I haven’t seen one in 12v coil configuration which is why I ask and I do not have a voltmeter on board from the move.

Hi folks, I’ve been tied up with other things and haven’t had much time to browse the forum for some time.

I am in Greenville, TX 75402. My place is near Highway I-30 (Exit #97).

I have space and electrical (50 amp) and water hookups available, so I'd like to welcome fellow Newell owners to stop by or for a short stay.
And I have a garden here where you can pick up some fresh vegetables if you come at the right season.

Hello all,

Our AH has been getting louder during operation, so I decided to replace the bearings using a 5 year rebuild kit for the burner that I found on heatmyrv.com.

I've gotten everything apart and the bearings are nice and smooth but the combustion air motor is very "notchy" when I spin it.

My first instinct is to replace the motor, but I wanted to double check with you all first.

The shaft on the motor turns fine, but feels like I'm turning a knob that has a detent for different positions.  Idk I'd that makes any sense but I don't think it should feel like that.

Thanks!

Tyler Phillips

I finally found the hidden coach number located in the closet framing, by the breaker box. I can't make out if the number is 22 or 27 though.

So recently I have noticed my transmission temps rising. Now it may also be that ambient temps are rising and this is just a direct result of the ambient temps here in Fl going up. So my transmission temps as read on my Bluefire have been going up in the 200s up to 220 deg F. Is this what others are seeing on their HD4060s when in the heat? I am just wondering if my transmission cooler is working. So I believe my coach has a cooler mounted just forward of the drive axle with 2 electric fans on it. I am wondering if those fans are working and what temp they come on? Not sure if you would be able to hear them running with the engine running. I would assume there may be a relay in the engine electrical box that turns the fans on, I have not really looked yet. Any data or info any one has would be helpful.

Dash A/C was cooling and then no cold air.  I put the gauges on it, the low pressure would be normal and then drop to 10 PSI.  I realized I was not hearing the condenser fan.  I crawled under the coach, the condenser and fan are in front of the drive axle differential.  Using a small screwdriver the fan spun freely & there was 0 volts at the plug.

I opened up the front Spyder Control Panel (fuse panel) in the front compressor bay & started tapping on the relays.  Voila! one relay clicked & I heard the fan running!  I was able to duplicate the problem by putting up & down pressure on the relay.  Up pressure caused the fan to quit.  I replaced the relay which resolved the problem.

I'm still suspicious of the solder joint on the board but could not duplicate the problem once the relay was replaced.

It seems that the emissions Gods want to frustrate me anytime I start a journey.  Yesterday I had Fault Codes 3567 FMI 5 SPN 5394 Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Valve - Current below normal or open circuit;  1682 FMI 31 SPN 3362 Aftertreatment 1 Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Input Lines - Condition Exists;  3714 FMI 31 SPN 1569 Engine Protection Torque Derate - Condition Exists,

Using Cummins Insite, I did the "Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid System Leak Test"  It held 130 PSI with no leaks evident.  I also did the "Diesel Exhaust Fluid Doser Pump Override Test" which required removing the Doser Valve to watch it spray DEF.  Removing the valve was easy, 3 screws with an 8mm socket, 6" extension and 1/4" ratchet.  It sprayed OK, I re-seated the electrical plug on the valve & traced the wiring somewhat but didn't see any obvious problems.

Code 3714 will derate the torque and then limit the speed to 5 MPH.  It derated to the first level yesterday but I made it to my campsite OK.

Using Insite I cleared the codes and drove 200 miles today with no issues.
